I KNEW that someone would have created this thread.

I'm taking a break, but I am an Undead Rogue, Sub-spec.

Ah, obsessed...

I played wow to quite recently, played a troll druid in a high pop european server. Played with a semi hardcore guild and was doing really good progress untill our guild disbanded, thought it was time for me to quit then. Shame though since I really enjoy the game but it have wasted many hours(days) of my life and its time to move on. But always a chance I will come back since I've done this before :P

I would like to suggest that all you WoW players try GuildWars 2 which charges you nothing after you buy the game. My oldest son is a level designer at Arena.net which makes GuildWars, and I am very proud of him.

I am SO annoyed that the school wifi is so slow that I either can't log on or there's a MAAAAAAAASSIVE lag.
I'm actually planning on getting GW2 in the summer :D Might try engineer! (Real life engineer in the making)

I have played every race and every class to some extent, although I only had four 80s at the end of Wrath/start of Cata. I just got back into the game and got my gnome warlock to 81.

I like the Horde more but I keep ending up in Alliance guilds.

My last main was a night elf druid (resto for raids).

I left WoW after 6 years when they forced the active cross-realm phasing. Too many people running around, I chose a lower population server because I wanted a more intimate experience, running across a player every 15 minutes was acceptable and fun, but every minute or less is far too much (especially out in a random wasteland/forest...) and too stressful. I think I miss my Human Discipline Priest most, but Guardian on GW2 is okay, and Jedi Sage on SWTOR is kind of similar. I like SWTOR over WoW simply because of the sharding/phases where you can choose a lower populated instance, if WoW changed to that, I'd come back.

xMistrox, I rerolled on one of the two remaining US-side crossrealm-free servers. Ravenholt and The Venture Co are RP-PVP yet physically isolated from other RP-PVP servers, so they haven't been integrated (yet). Though I don't mind crowded places as long as everyone is ignoring me, the treasures I needed for my trial account twink could simply no longer be seized without confrontation (often against an army of other players from half a dozen other servers), so I had to abandon that server. In the new realm, I haven't had to roleplay yet, and I haven't had to fight anyone, although I suppose it would have been a valid response to the occasional ganks.

...I shouldn't be here promoting this. I should be trying to quit like you. Maybe I should be out getting one of those job things in the real world! <_<

I checked for a WoW thread in here a few months ago and upon not seeing one I didn't come back until now...so I'm a little late to post.
I've been playing almost 4 years. I have a 90 Night Elf Warrior and I'm leveling an 87 Orc Warrior. I also have an 85 Dwarf Hunter and an 85 Draenei DK. I also have a Rogue, Pally and Priest all around 70. (All on Cairne server.)
I'm working on the Insane in the Membrane feat of strength. All I have left is to grind thousands of pirates.
I'm taking online and night classes to get my bachelors and don't have the time to play like I used to. I may not log on for a week or longer at a time.

I think what I enjoy most is leveling and working on individual achievements, like titles, mounts, etc. I refuse to do randoms and only will do dungeons/raids with guildmates and even then I shy away. I recently had a misunderstanding with someone in the guild I consider a friend. I'm an officer in the guild and we're in tune to looking for signs of guildmates being hacked. I logged on that day and greeted her and got not response which was unusual. I tried to initiate conversation several times over the next hour maybe and nothing and then she pulled like 4 or 5 toons out of the guild. My hacker flags went off and I shot off an email to the Guildmaster. The next day I got my head taken off by the "friend" i thought I was protecting. It really upset me even though I only know this person via Wow and facebook. Also the Guildmaster had unfriended me on facebook a couple months before. I'm finding I can't escape my Aspie social challenges online either. I've been laying low in my guild since and sometimes playing on another server alone.

They should have an Aspie/Autism server. Proudmoore is the unofficial LGBT server.

Proudmoore was also the unofficial oceanic server.

I started on Argent Dawn, moved to Kirin Tor, then moved to Proudmoore (where I've been since late Burning Crusade). Right now I am playing Alliance on Proudmoore (in an inactive guild, but it being level 25 and having the Cataclysm achievements takes a lot of the edge off - plus after I bought the lion mount all my horde characters got the Kor'kron annihilator) and Horde on Kirin Tor.

With City of Heroes gone, this is the MMO I have the most attachment to/nostalgia for.

Wow, that's cool. And I second this suggestion. I actually played both GW and WoW and switched between the two. I liked both of them but actually liked GW more and ended up playing it a bit more than WoW. I played WoW more during the year or so before GW2 came out and they weren't doing anything for GW1 anymore, ending up with a purple geared level 85 Paladin and Shaman. I haven't bought Mists of Pandaria though, and haven't touched WoW since GW2 came out.

I used to play quite a bit. But then I stopped for a long time after Cataclysm first came out, but then got right back in before Mists. I got Mists, played for a few months, and stopped. I no longer play and personally think WoW is a dieing franchise. It's basically turning into Everquest.

But I still know a lot about the game of course :P
