Yeah, I love the old 8-bit MIDI tunes, they're pretty much represent the happier times of my life.

2 examples I can list right away are:

Rambo - Jungle Theme

game sucked, but this theme...so awesome!

Skate or Die 2 - Main menu screen

...is that not the most EPIC main menu music to NES game, EVER?!

Bye for now. ^_^

For my money, Hotline Miami is one of the best soundtracks ever, videogame or otherwise.

I also dig the stations in San Andreas; 90's was a great decade for music IMO.

Yes.

And I'm very happy to see FF and Silent Hill on this list. (Among others, but those are always my favorites.)

For FF fans: check out the Black Mages if you haven't already. ;)

New addition to the fray:

Hands up for those who remember Rygar for the NES.

Yeah, I thought so. :P

Not a good game, mediocre at best. But its soundtrack...you can't deny it is some of the cooler 8-bit music out there. Case in point:

Doesn't that make you wanna clap along? I sure do.

I remember this as an unreasonably difficult final battle.

Klonoa had some awesome music, and it was a very underrated game.

VVVVVV has a truly great soundtrack. And stuff from Ocarina of Time always sends me on a nostalgia trip.
