Actually realized there are a few LPers I actually enjoy. Check out:

ScottishDuck17
LinandKo
Kwife's Gaming Life

They're more informative and helpful than "funny", though there is some humor to their playthroughs. They rarely swear ( I have yet to hear a single one, but I don't watch often enough to know 100% ) and they have rather pleasant voices. Additionally, LinandKo is a couple in Japan who "translate" and showcase Japanese games like Fantasy Life and Tamodachi Collection: New Life.

As I said before, I prefer to hear the games themselves, but unfortunately there are some games that only have LPs...

I also do gameplay and commentary videos. So I guess you can call it Let's Play.
I have a link in my signature.

I watch other peoples let's play videos, but it's been awhile since I last did due to making my own videos, I don't have as much time to watch others. But I still try too.

I don't mind the swearing too much, unless too much of it just makes the video "overkill."

I'm also a fan of the informative WT approach, and one of my favorites to make these would have to be SuperSkarmory.

Oh, oh! I LOVE let's plays!

My absolute number one favorite is Markiplier!
Though LordMinion777 and CinnamonToeastKen are good too. :)

Oh, and Yamimash too, of course. He's a sweet pie, really. ^^

I do agree with the informative let players being the best. As such, even though my girlfriend disagrees, I find the fact that Game Grumps don't read the instructions somewhat annoying. I do like JonTron, but he's more of a critic, I guess.

Strangely enough, and against my better judgment, Achievement Hunter/Let's Play channel are my absolute favorite LPers. They are of the 'swearing idiots' category, but it seems that at least one of them can play any given game adequately, they mostly know the instructions, and they do call each other out when they get too dumb. The swearing leaves a little to be desired, I kinda wish I could watch with my little sister. But the thing that always gets me is that they either fail epically, or have a huge win that makes me cheer with them. Its a great reaction I don't get from much else ^^

Ah yeah, Markiplier is very good, isnt he?

I got into his videos originally by seeing the first Five Nights at Freddy's LP vids he did (this was shortly after the original game came out). I then saw some of Dungeon Nightmares 2, and both of those together sealed a subscription from me. Aint regretted it since!

I mostly only watch game grumps and steam train anymore.
based on the previous comments though I'm not sure you all would like them because they don't always finish games and they don't try to filter their curse words (did see a couple mention game grumps though).
Most of the stuff I watch on YouTube anymore(beside game grumps) are gaming related but are not lets plays
stuff like jontron and peanut butter gamer who do skits/reviews
or happy console gamer, and TVandLust who mostly just give their input on gaming news and talk about their gaming memories, as well as doing unboxings and collection videos.

See, I honestly dont mind some swearing, IF the person in particular isnt doing it on purpose. You've probably seen that sort, that adds in arbitrary swearing (usually lots and LOTS of it) just because it's the thing to do. As opposed to saying it out of genuine frustration (which is fine by me). Heck, I myself tend to just shout incoherant nonsense at the screen if I'm getting irritated.

I love let's plays! But, I've been watching more streams on Twitch than watching let's play series, aside from the ones I'm following at the moment.

My favorite LPer is ProtonJon, but I've also been into JoshJepson and LucahJin's stuff as of late.

I'm not very fond of the "super-popular" lpers, I dunno, they just don't have a style I particularly like, or the games they play aren't something I'm interested in watching. Game Grumps I think is the only exception.
