What would your reaction be to Metroid Prime 4 at E3

During the Nintendo Direct, Iwata says...we have one more announcement after revealing the megaton of games and dropping bombs.

Then Metroid Prime 4 is revealed in glorious HD graphics with scannable environments via gamepad?

I would be down for it even though I don't know anything about Metroid.
Metroid is the Nintendo IP that I know the least about.
maybe one day I will download super Metroid or the prime series on virtual console.

It would be fine, since they do need to do something about that hanging ending from Metroid Prime 3.
I'd rather see a port of Tetrisphere!

I would like to see a multiplayer Metroid game.
Similar to Metroid Blast in Nintendo Land but way more in depth.

Hey bro! Good to see you here. I think a multiplayer that is vastly expanded on Echos systems/hunters would be a game changer to the series.

I haven't played either of those yet.
I'd really like to see Co Op in it.
Maybe another hunter joins Samus.

Oh boy did miss all the criticisms that Metroid Prime 2, Hunters, 3, and Other M received?
Metroid Prime 2 was criticized for ripping off Halo 2 too much.
Hunters was derided for being multiplayer centric instead of true Metroid
Prime 3 was criticized heavily for forcing unwanted and unneeded characters into Metroid abandoning what made the first 3 games good.
Other M was panned for voice acting, gameplay, too much like Fusion.

With that said Metroid (NES) and Metroid Prime (GC) are tied for the best selling game in the series with ~4M sold.
Metroid Prime 3 sold roughly ~3M on Wii
Every other Metroid game sold under 2M world wide.
Metroid Prime 2 is the lowest selling game in the series...

Anyways Nintendo isn't sure on how to proceed with Metroid because have gotten an earful/backlash since Prime 2.

No, though the original Metroid Prime 2 had horrible difficulty spikes and that massive key hunt at the end which ruined it for many.
Though the game was rebalanced for the Metroid Prime Trilogy release.

Metroid Prime 3 was more linear that others, but nothing wrong with it.

Metroid 2 (GB) is difficult due to the monochrome graphics of the original gameboy.

Other M had issues, but it wasn't that bad.

Metroid 1 was fine for it's time, though the remake is better but short to beat.

Super Metroid was well made, had the occasional glitch.

Fusion was tad linear for most.

Never played Hunters.

My only requirement is to have at least one 2D version, it can be on the 3DS or wherever they want.
If they do a classic 2D game for 3DS and a 3D game for Wii U it would be perfect for me (:

Same here. I love the Prime trilogy ( hell, the only 2 Metroid games I don't like are the straight up FPS Hunters and the terrible Other M ), but I've always preferred the 2D games....I'm personally hoping for not only a 2D Metroid on 3DS, but one that takes place after Fusion.
