farming simulator 2015. it is insanely addictive to me.
the pace of the game is glacial and the decisions i make are crucial to efficiency.
it is the constant striving for productivity to lessen the arduous time it takes to harvest fields that is the main thing that keeps me intensely involved for hours, as well as amassing the money to but more powerful tractors to haul the loads and equipment at a reasonable pace. buying new land and expanding my harvest potential balanced with the mindfulness of how long it would take to harvest if i have to drive one of my harvesters there to harvest it after it has taken ages to harvest the previous field, or do i wait and but a new harvester before i buy the new land...etc etc..
it seems to be the most addictive game i have ever played, but would not appeal to most people i would suspect.
one reviewer of it said that it was akin to a "watching grass grow" game, but he has a short attention span and an easily broken passion.
That one appeals to more people than you might think. It's a long running series, sells well on Steam/PC (to the point where it started getting console versions too), and there's a gigantic controller.... thing.... you can get for it to better simulate the feel of driving the game's variety of huge farm machines. A Youtuber I follow (who plays these games) reviewed that thing. It is very large.
I have the game as well but I havent played it yet, which happens to me with games on Steam sometimes. There's a number of games I bought over the last 5 months or so but havent really jumped into because of Mario Maker, Isaac, Splatoon, and a couple of others totally stealing my attention.
