My style in absolutely everything has always been: just charge at it and go berserk.
Doesnt really matter what game or genre it is or what, specifically, I am charging at. I'll still do it. Even in something like a bullet-hell shmup I absolutely will get right up in something's face to hit it point-blank. Which seems counterintuitive, but I do it anyway.
Comes from a combination of my absolute and total lack of anything resembling patience, and also my dark personality and tendency towards anger. I'm going to end up losing control and going nuts anyway if I try to take my time too much, so I may as well just run at the damn things to begin with.
Besides, in many games, I get more of a challenge that way. Sneaking around often makes things easier.... which bores me, so I dont do it. A direct assault though can really provide challenge and test reflexes and whatnot.
Of course this means that there are certain specific sorts of games that I wont do, if there's some game based entirely around stealth from the very start, or.... most modern military FPS games (which I find boring anyway, preferring the run-n-gun style of older FPS games over the hide-n-snipe style of current ones). Typically though as I find those games boring, you couldnt pay me to play them anyway....
