Do you like to watch videos of other people playing a video game and going through all the challenges? I like actually playing the games more, but I sometimes like seeing someone else play a game to see how they did a certain thing, or see them fail miserably on a challenging part of the game. I used to watch Chuggaaconroy a lot because he'd play some of my favorite games and fail in very hilarious ways. Episode 30 of his Super Mario Sunshine playthrough is one of my favorites.

From time to time. If its something special or funny.

Rarely follow anyone for a long time but i watched the entire 7DTD series with GameSocietyPimps, 2 guys playing it. One guy was a sociopath and the other was an enabler and a religious fanatic. Was hilarious at times, but i stopped watching when they brought in more people.

I have found other YouTube walkthroughs, usually 100% ones, of various games.

I've done the Arkham, God of War, Mass Effect, Mortal Kombat, Warcraft, and Starcraft series among others.

Other than the non online Warcraft and Starcraft, I never got to play those games. I largely retired from video games when my PS2 died. Xbox, PS3 and 4, are just too pricey now. These video walkthroughs are the next best thing to actually playing them.

Very rarely. I find most of them to be overly drawn out and annoying. I do enjoy watching reviews however, particularly Pixelships' ADG.

It can be testing to sit through long videos, but I find my efforts well rewarded.

I personally can't get enough of it. Especially when I watch Markiplier or Jacksepticeye. They never fail to make me laugh.

I like watching Chuggaaconroy, ProtonJon, and a few others who actually focus on the game that they're playing. I hate watching Game Grumps, though. Arin gets so sidetracked talking about random stuff that's not even funny, that he misses obvious things and screws up way too many times, and I get impatient.

I avoid let's plays involving multiple people because generally the sound of multiple people talking induces a sensory overload. I usually just watch them if either they are playing a game that I am considering buying or if the person making them is particularly entertaining and engaging like Scott Manley.

I do watch a ton of these, yes. Though I mostly dont watch the "big" Youtubers, other than Markiplier and CaptainSparklez (mostly does Minecraft stuff) and NorthernLion. Mostly I follow smaller ones. Deceased Crab, One F Jef, DasTactic, and HCBailey are among some of my favorites... I'm subscribed to quite a few. I particularly like them since they dont just focus on whatever "big" games are out right now... they'll often play old games or just whatever the hell they feel like playing.

These are usually what I'll watch when I'm having my meals... I dont really watch all that much else.

Ah, finally someone that agrees with me on this one! Everyone I know thinks Game Grumps is like the best damn channel ever; they're more like "Pointless Story Grumps" to me, honestly. I'm not watching an LP to constantly hear stories about some wacky thing that happened at the local McDonalds or something. It's like, just focus, dammit!

Granted, sometimes people want to talk about something else a bit, I can understand that... like, NorthernLion will occaisionally just vault straight into a mini-rant about who knows what, but he keeps those quick and concise, and absolutely will get back to the commentary, he's not just going to drone on and on past the point where it gets derpy.

Yeah I watch a bunch of let's plays on YouTube and a fair number of Twitch streams too.

I rarely watch Let's Plays. Not too exciting and people put on acts just to get views. It's unfortunate that people can't just be themselves. The same goes for most YouTubers in my view at least. Video game YouTubers such as Angry Video Game Nerd are just annoying at this point and try too hard.

I prefer to watch live streams on Twitch, even though many of the people there also put on acts. However I do enjoy the live interaction with certain streamers (generally smaller ones).

The less commentary the better, in my opinion. Although I do like it when there is good commentary while the gameplay is offscreen, or text subtitles. I don't click on gameplay videos to listen to constant jabbering. "Don't forget to subscribe!" lol

Yeah, I don't like the constant jabbering, either. I watch Let's Plays because I'm interested in the game, not some random stories or rants that the player has. I do enjoy the commentary if it's about the game itself, where I can learn new things about it.

Yes, I like watching Let's Plays and walkthroughs. I mainly use them for 2 things, check if a game i'm interested in appears to be up my alley, or to check how to do specific things in games I already have or get tips for them.

Occasionally I watch a Let's Play just because I find it entertaining. I also watch Watch it played and tutorials of board, dice and card games for the same reasons.

I agree completely. Constant jabbering and theatrics just get annoying.

Yes.

I generally don't like commentaries though. I used to watch the Angry Video Game Nerd all the time. Game Grumps was also good... until JonTron left.
