Vice City; there are certain 80's songs that trigger "flashbacks" to a criminal past in Miami that I never actually lived.

Yep, I was thinking Solitude as this thread was loading, and was pleased to see that it was already on here!

I think Solitude just stands out among all the other cities in Skyrim. You grew used to the sort of medieval, wooden-hut like buildings in Whiterun and scattered throughout the world. But then you arrive at Solitude, made of pure brick and labor, and it is really awe-inspiring.

The other city I really like is Markarth. The way everything is built into the mountains is really really neat. Also the best jail-break in the whole game!

Most of the towns and cities in Pokemon.

The towns in Rune Factory and Harvest Moon, particularly RF 2's Alvarna.

The towns of Animal Crossing.

Not really cities, more like planets, but I like to visit them:
Voss, Tython, and Dromond Kaas from Star Wars: The Old Republic

Probably Chorrol from Oblivion, even better as realised by the Better Cities mod, even if it is full of snobs. I also like the surrounding woodland, even if it is full of things that think my intestines would look better on the outside.

Pre-embuggerence Rapture in Bioshock Infinite was also fascinating, but I wouldn't want to live there.

And Novigrad, also a place I wouldn't want to live, but it was a fascinating depiction of a mediaeval city that was big enough to just wander around exploring for ages.

Aleroth in Divinity 2 was also a fascinating place although it was slightly beset by hauntings and murders and stuff.

I like Laverre a lot too. The forested atmosphere is nice, and I love the gothic-lolita vibe of some of the boutique offerings.
