Beat Saber I've thought of, but I'm not really into music much. Hell, the closest I get to that is whatever is playing in my car when I'm driving, and that's always just tracks ripped from whatever games have been on my mind recently. And that's the extent of my interest in music.

You don't need to like music a lot to enjoy music rhythm games. Heck, I hate the music in most music rhythm games; Beat Saber's soundtrack is mostly a mix of bland post-dubstep EDM that I can't stand. But like you don't need to be into demonic imagery to like DOOM, or be into entomology to like Hollow Knight, you don't need to like the music in Beat Saber to enjoy it. The music underpins a music rhythm game's level design, but the gameplay is a more simple affair of pattern recognition and translating that into a plan of action.

Also, if you don't like the default tracks, Beat Saber's custom track community is at this point probably even more robust than Osu's, which is to say that there's no shortage of tracks to find regardless of what you enjoy. Whether it be the music from a bullet hell game (Touhou Project), indie darling (Undertale), Nintendo flagship (Super Mario Odyssey) or the latest hit anime (Kaguya-sama), you'll find something to enjoy.

Just finished Squares (Doom II wad) in 64 minutes on ultra violence, admittedly with a few saves. It's got something of a semi-iconic reputation in Doom circles, but I hadn't heard of it until today. Pretty routine stuff, like just 16 Cyberdemons and 4 Archviles in the final room.....

I've been playing Sekiro and I don't think any other game has ever reduced me to involuntary tears. 10/10

I am hoping to beat the final boss today, he is just freaking tough, and taking a bit to get the strategy down.

Been heavily into Risk of Rain 2. This is probably the best surprise I've had gaming-wise in a long time.

Did you beat it? I spent a whole afternoon on it a couple days back. In retrospect it's pretty funny that the sword master's sword form is relatively easy, then he pulls out a massive spear and a semi-auto pistol and turns into probably the hardest Souls boss.

Now I'm on my third playthrough and I have to say, repeat playthroughs of this game are great. Just demolishing all these bosses that got me stuck the first time. Actually, it's a huge credit to them that this game gave me the same sensation as when I first played Dark Souls. All of the sequels and to some extent Bloodborne suffered from the fact that I already knew how to play, whereas Sekiro was a learning process and honestly I hated the game for a while but grew to love it as it went on and I learned. It's actually a really frustrating game to judge, though, because I think it might be my favourite game but there are so many obvious flaws, like the stupid prosthetic upgrade system, the fact that minibosses have two pips and you remove one via stealth attack, the relatively bland environments...

Recently finished (single player): Titanfall 2

Currently playing (single player): Doom/Brutal Doom, combination of Ultimate doom via brutal doom and vanilla TNT depending on what platform I play it, also playing Battle of Polytopia on Android

Currently playing (multiplayer): Battlefield V, Apex Legends, Titanfall 2, COD Black Ops 4

Plan to play (single player): Fallout 3 with DLC, been on my list for a while but never got around to it, I likely will play it somewhat soon though.

On the fourth playthrough of Sekiro. They really hid the third ending I did in a stupid way, but it's cool how much content is hidden. Honestly I wish there was a little more, previous games generally had a whole hidden area at the very least, and it adds a sense of wonder to the world when you discover something like that. Anyway, I fought a boss that I hadn't before, and it was one of the best in the game. I have one more ending to go and I understand that it involves a boss that is the worst in the game, except perhaps for the headless and shichimen. I'm happy there's more content because this is the best thing I've played since at least Bloodborne, but after this playthrough I might need to take a break.

ALSO I've played about half an hour of Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online and it might be the worst game I have ever played. Maybe that's an exaggeration (because FF13 is actually genuinely the worst game I have ever played and I doubt this will ever change) but this is just not even a game. The combat is about mashing the buttons and there's zero mechanical depth, it's like a musou game without even the superficial elements that trick people into thinking they enjoy playing musou. Actually this genre as a whole has been in a permanent state of degradation because it's just not very good... the height being stuff like Final Fight and this being the nadir, but even Final Fight is really bad. Streets of Rage, Golden Axe... all these games are bad. They're trash. This is the modern equivalent of that and it's also bad, but you do at least get to hang out with your favourite neps in a fantasy setting. As such I give this game a 9/10

Yeah, I also detailed the strategy that I picked up in a How to get gud at Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice thread, which I hope is accurate. I went for the good ending first, and I do expect to go for the other endings via ng+, which I suspect I will go for the alternate memories next, which I missed because I did not do eavesdropping in the right places at the right time, missing an area. Probably the normal ending after that, and the bad ending last, because I think that it could be the easiest, although as far as I know it has two extra bosses. I kind of hope that I will be coming back to the game not too far in the future for some DLC. I hope DLC will have more youkai.

But first I am playing Last of Us: Remastered. I never played the original game, and I know it is a bit of a phenomenon, but I never had a PS3, and got the PS4 about a year ago and didn't really do too much. But from what I heard of a sequel on the horizon I decided to pick up the Remastered edition. It is pretty good so far, although at times it is kind of hard when to pick a moment to stop, practically feels like no moment to rest, until a rare cutscene, although right after the cutscene is go time. In way it kind of reminds me what the God of War on PS4 was like, where the camera does not once cut away.

Maybe I should try and finally beat the Valkyrie Queen afterwards in God of War? it was among a few things I had not finished yet that I just left to do later.
