I used to play on an Amiga emulator, but some day my computer crashed and nothing could be saved. I had downloaded some interesting games from my childhood from abandonware sites, though I were not able to find some. The ROMs for emulation can't be officially downloaded.
Ah, back in the glory days I had hundreds of amiga games and even though I was only seven years old I could remember english names like 'street fighter', 'shadow of the beast', 'lure of the temptress', 'gods', 'newzealand story', 'james pond', 'zombies from the horror crypt', 'elvira', 'moonstone' 'dogs of war', 'wings of fury', 'ishar', 'monkey island', 'hero quest', 'gauntlet III', 'international karate IK', 'budokan', 'hybris', 'giana sisters', 'rick dangerous I, II','Night Hunter' blablabla I only possessed one or two originals I think  All cracked versions (with very nice intros from the oldschool amiga hackers!), because a seven year old kid would have little fun without invulnerability cheats
Some games I remember, but I just don't remember the names and that is a pity
amiga.l33tz.com had good abandonware.

I like the games from 1990-1992. I consider that time period the "Golden Age" for both video games and movies.

I started gaming in about '93-94. I love Alex Kidd in Miracle World, the original Sonic the Hedgehog games, and Action Fighter.

But my all-time favourite game was actually for the Mega Drive (or Genesis, w/e), Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I can get all the Chaos and Super Emeralds (with the help of a cheat or two LOL).

But Alex Kidd was the first computer game I ever played.

I don't like playing emulated games on PC, It feels unconfortable although I have downloaded Mario 64, Zelda 2 and Super Mario Brothers on my Wii's Virtual Console

Any pre-1985 arcade games. They rock.

I have a question. Do you have to pay for games that work on emulation software when you download them? I was wondering about that.

The only emulation software I know how to work at the moment is Dosbox, and the old computer games that work on it are usually free. Is it different for SNES, NES, N64, etc?
