When i was young I bought the prequel to this for CAD$ 50. It had 56 levels. The game I wanted to pre-order will have 12 to 18 levels max. I'm not paying CAD$ 90 for that...

I guess I won't feel the nostalgia until after a few price drops...

Here in the States, the LEGO games drop to $20 pretty quick.

In Canada any game, no matter what it is, takes months to drop down to $60, then another couple months do get down to $50 or $40.

I stick to games that are between 10 and 20 years old. Just bought the Medal of Honor Allied Assault 'War Chest' pack, which includes the Spearhead and Breakthrough expansion discs, for £2.

The games were a heck of a sight better then as well.....

I made the maths and if I bought the standard edition on Amazon using their free "Prime" trial for 20% off an order it would still cost me $70 with taxes included. Deluxe would cost me $81. :roll:

Since I have a PS+ membership, I might just wait and look at the game page on the PSN store since theres no taxes and hope that they'll give PS+ members a discount.

Would indeed rather play older ones (often, the REALLY old ones). I get far more enjoyment out of random games on something like the 2600 than the big AAA games now.

I'm confused, I just did the math for the exchange rate, and the both games are actually cheaper in Canada by a few dollars. All new games cost $60 (us) or higher for "special editions", sucks but we all deal with it. I'd definitely wait for the price drop, Lego games are fun, I've got Lego Lord of the Rings, but they aren't worth $60.

Yeah, They're short and theres no replayability when the all of the collectibles are really easy to find.

They seriously have season passes now for the Lego games......could they milk it any harder :wall:

. What could they possibly need to add later, they can s**t out new Lego games every other day. Apparently it will have exclusive levels on the PS4 version that link episode 6 and 7 so that has my interest now. From what I read it isn't part of the season pass DLC content though. Your best bet is still to wait at least until they announce more information as to what the DLC is actually going to be to see if it's worth the season pass.

I'd really, really like to punch whoever came up with "season passes". They're like the old expansion packs from way back when, except corrupted by corporate greed. They're basically a freaking disease in the industry these days.

I always very strongly suggest NOT buying them. You're buying an unknown when you buy one of those, because all you know is what they SAY will be in the upcoming content. This, often, doesnt actually equal what ends up being in it. So many times I've seen people get disappointed by these, and all I can say is, well, you shouldnt have bought something that didnt exist yet.

These days it REALLY is best not to pre-order things or do anything of that nature. There was a time when that wasnt true, but that was back when most games needed to be bought in physical form; pre-ordering existed so that you could guarantee that you get a copy before they sold out. NOW it's just a corporate money farm... dont fall for it.
