Of all the video Games you have played what is your favourite music.

Mine would be:

Torvus Bog and Sanctuary Fortress (Metroid Prime 2)
Evil Foundry (Sonic and the Secret Rings) (who's gonna rock the place... place... place)
Theme of Legend of Zelda
Hyrule Field (Twilight Princess)
Theme of Super Mario Bros.
Snow level theme (Crash Bandicoot 2)
Cave theme from Super Mario Bros.

That's quite a lot then.

The entire Xenogears soundtrack is my favorite. Composed by the incredible Yasunori Mitsuda: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasunori_Mitsuda

I like the Civilization soundtracks, especially the latest one. You can get the lyrics and theme tune here:Link
I also liked the Myst series soundtracks but I don't know if many other people will ahve played them. I don't like fighter games much.

Albert Wesker's Mercenaries Theme (Resident Evil 4)
Braska's Final Aeon Song (Final Fantasy X)
Dancin' Sword (Star Ocean)
Dark Genie Battle Song -Final Form- (Dark Cloud)
Divine Spirit of Language -Crosell's Boss Theme- (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time)
Duel (Dark Cloud)
Field of Expel (Star Ocean: Second Story)
Fillmore (ActRaiser)
Mission to the Deep Space (Star Ocean: Second Story and Till the End of Time. I like the one on Till the End of Time much better.)
Ominous Beat (Phantasy Star IV)
One Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII)
The Oracle (Seiken Densetsu II/Secret of Mana)
Together We Ride (Many Fire Emblem games)

There may be more...aww well this should do.

American McGee's Alice.
Silent Hill 3.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption.

To a lesser extent:
The intro music for F.E.A.R. (the best thing about the game in my opinion)
Silver
Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire
Thief: The Dark Project (especially the intro music)
Metal Gear Solid 3

The music in the Command and Conquer games. A good one is "Hell March." Or at least I think that's what it's called. It's been awhile since I've played RA 1 though. I think I'm going to install CnC:The First Decade onto my laptop again.

Hokay.....

(Deep breath...)

(Sorted by game)

Final Fantasy series

The normal battle musics of all I-X (XI I haven't played and doesn't really count, while XII has no actual battle music per se...).

Inside a Boss Battle, The Last Battle, (Final Fantasy I remakes. The former is the 'regular' boss music, unless you're fighting a Fiend. The last one is Chaos' battle theme)

Battle Scene B, Battle Scene II (Final Fantasy II. The former is a boss theme added for the remakes, while the latter, the final boss theme, is great, especially the PS1 remix)

Boss Battle, This is the Final Battle (Final Fantasy III. Pretty self explanatory)

Main Theme, Zeromus (Final Fantasy IV. The former is of course the world map theme in most cases, and has an excellent celtic remix on an album, while the latter is the final battle music, and very good, if a bit short on the loop...)

Clash on the Big Bridge, The Decisive Battle, The Final Battle (Final Fantasy V. The first is the ever popular Gilgamesh battle theme. The second is heard when you fight two forms of Exdeath in the original, and always seem to remind me of Riverdance. The third is the desperate battle against NeoExdeath...)

Terra, Kefka, The Decisive Battle, Dancing Mad (Final Fantasy VI. Terra is one of the most beautiful world map themes I've heard, while Kefka enhances the villainy of everyone's favourite deranged clown. The Decisive Battle is an excellent rendition of a boss battle, while Dancing Mad, in a good form, would rival One-Winged Angel in terms of epic scope)

Main Theme, Aeris' Theme, Cid's Theme, J-E-N-O-V-A, Still More Fighting, The Highwind Takes to the Skies, The Birth of a God, One-Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII. The Main Theme is a good one, but out of the character themes, Cid's and Aeris' are the best, especially Aeris', whose theme is rather appropriate to her fate. The Highwind Takes to the Skies is an excellent theme for an airship. Still More Fighting, a rock boss battle theme. J-E-N-O-V-A is strangely chilling but appropriate to the alien Jenova, while Birth of a God is an excellent desperate battle theme. Of course, those battle themes are eclipsed by One-Winged Angel, which has its best version in the Advent Children movie. A conglomeration of rock and Latin...)

Force Your Way, Premonition, Lunatic Pandora, The Castle, The Extreme (Final Fantasy VIII. The boss battle theme remains one of my firm favourites, as does the witch-battle theme, Premonition. The creepy Lunatic Pandora theme is wonderful, but the theme of Ultimecia's Castle provides a grotesquely playful, yet menacing theme. The Extreme, while not the best of the final battle musics, is still noteworthy...)

Boss Battle, Immoral Melody, Dark Messenger, Final Battle (Final Fantasy IX has a variety of good music, but Immoral Melody stands out as a sort of weird version of 'We Will Rock You'. Dark Messenger and Final Battle are good battle musics for the end...)

Otherworld, Enemy Attack, Challenge, The Unsent Laugh, Seymour Battle, Hymn of the Fayth (Final Fantasy X. The heavy metal Otherworld makes a lasting impression during not only one of the first FMVs, but also during one of the last battles. Enemy Attack and Challenge are excellent boss battle themes, and Hymn of the Fayth provides an interesting background to many key sequences in the game. The Unsent Laugh is suitably creepy, while Seymour Battle harkens back to previous Final Fantasy games.)

I'll Blow You A Kiss!! (Final Fantasy X-2. An unusual boss theme, but an interesting one, and quite in line with the mood of the story. Parts of the final boss theme are suitably creepy, as well as urgent in nature...)

Clash on the Big Bridge, FFXII version, Boss Battle, Esper Battle, Battle for Freedom (Final Fantasy XII. While not Uematsu's work, with the exception of the remixed Clash, these are still quite good battle themes...)

I'll post more later from other games....

Hey, I am curious about what kind of music is in the Zelda video games, particularly the newer ones. Somebody cited that video game name when they were describing to me what they thought "irish flute" would sound like. I couldn't confirm, since I've never played any of those games.
