I liked several of the EA NHL series games (94, 95, 06, 07, 08)
I really liked Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Battlefront II
Dope Wars is great

rFactor is probably my favourite game of all time, but it won't run on my current computer

I haven't played many games since I was obsessed with rFactor.

Pokemon Red for the Gameboy Colour was the very first video game I owned. I played it a lot when I had anxiety or couldn't sleep at night. It'll always be my favorite.

That's the first one I played too. I prefer FireRed over the original though.

The Legend of Zelda. More specifically, Wind Waker.

Well, actually I have a couple and can´t really just pick one for obvious reasons like genre differences etc.

- Wonderboy in Monsterland (arcade/sega mastersystem/amiga)
- Civilization series (pc)
- Streetfighter 2 turbo (SNES/arcade)
- Elite (C64/PC/Amiga)
- Speedball 2 (Amiga)
- Streets of Rage (Megadrive/Genesis)
- Baldur's Gate 2 (PC)
- Black Tiger (Arcade)
- Wipe Out (PS1)

More recently I've spend a ridiculous amount of time in Overwatch, Apex Legends and Fifa 21. Never cared about the fifa series until I tried the latest one but there's something really fun in competing with real people online I discovered and collecting football cards while doing so.

I wonder why it is when someone says "game" everyone else seems to think of only video games...

... just wondering ...

I'm not really one for nostalgia and I think videogames are a unique type of media most able to take advantage of new technology and innovation. So generally at any given period my favourite game of all time is something recent. Currently I'd consider Outer Wilds to be the best game of all time I've played. It's a sublime blend of technological achievement, creative game design and excellent writing.

Metroid Prime, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus and Chrono Trigger are four examples of brilliant games, though they all have a number of things problematic in each. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a great game, I don't think I'd have altered much at all, had I been in charge of its design while it was being made.

Top favs are Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Warrior/Quest III, and Thief II.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to add Breath of the Wild and make it a "Top 5" now.

I don't think I could pick a favorite tabletop...there are some whose rules I greatly prefer, but as long as we're all playing and having fun, it's my favorite game. I hate when some of my friends have to nitpick every little thing about every game, never able to settle on one ruleset for more than a handful of games.

I don't care much for D&D 5E, but I will play it, because that's what the DM wants to run.
