Hmm, I dunno. But I met a woman online who thought Kefka lived in her head, and I read the blog of a girl who was completely convinced that she was Sephiroth's lover.

KEFKA!! !! GRRRR that guy gave me more bad dreams and nightmares and well that guy is pure evil he even eats puppys and kids for dinner * SCARED! *

I don't think he was ever shown eating kids and puppies, but he poisoned a town under siege against orders, he helped betray the Gestahl Empire's most trusted general, sowed the seeds of distrust in the party, and turned against his emperor, zapped him with magic, and then booted him off a floating continent.

Sepiroth would dominated due to all he did in FFVII and FFVII AC plus he was and would still be in the Kingdom Hearts series than Kefka will ever be.

true but the char they made for him, if it was more drawn out game we would see more evil things from him plus .... that little momma's boy.. needs a weapon .. fear is kefka weapon

Kefka must of had an awful childhood if he hates everything.

On the other hand, Kefka has some of the best quotes in FFVI and one of the best evil laughs.

Actually, the Final Fantasy Wiki has added some background info on Kefka. While some of it is said in the game, I wonder where the rest came from. Apparently it comes from a source from Square.

Born to unknown parentage, Kefka was abandoned at birth. Raised in an orphanage in Thamasa, Kefka was beaten severely by the orphanage head, and developed a taciturn personality. Eventually he left Thamasa for Vector.

Graduating at the top of his class from the imperial academy, Kefka became the apprentice of Cid del Norte Márquez, and underwent an infusion that gave him the ability to use magic. Though it had no immediate side effects, it lead to the gradual degeneration of Kefka's sanity.

At the age of 23, Kefka was appointed commander of the magitek knights. In the following years, he took an interest in the recently orphaned daughter of an Imperial soldier and a Tzen female aristocrat, Celes Chere. Kefka used his political pull to make sure that Celes was brought up a magitek knight. Kefka political ascension culminated when at age 31, he was appointed to the position of Imperial Prime Minister. Kefka's reign, however, would be short-lived. At a banquet celebrating the appointment of his protige Celes Chere to Rear Admiral, Kefka cracks. The magitek infusion from years prior finally manifested itself.

Kefka showed marked change in behavior; once a shy, reserved man, Kefka began dressing in garish robes, wearing makeup, and playing with dolls; his once keen strategic mind deteriorates, and all that is left is a thirst for death and destruction, Kefka is promptly removed from military duty. Still feeling indebted to him for his years of service, and appreciating his loyalty, Gestahl appoints Kefka to the position of Court Mage.

Never fought either of them, so I don't know who would win. I prefer female FF vilians anyway. Edea>all male FF villians.

I've seen my fair share of that! Taking up residence in someone's head > being someone's lover by force. KEFKA ROCKS. Seriously, he interests me as a villain more than Sephi ever did. As for a battle between the two... who knows, really? :roll:

Kefka, definitely. Sephiroth is so cliche. Super bad ass too-cool-for-school and all that. Kefka at least has a sense of humour.

I'd say Kefka. Sephiroth is mainly sword based whereas Kefka is magic based. Kefka acquires the Ultimate Power at the end of FFVI.

But maybe I'm not one to judge, as I haven't played enough of VII to see what Sephiroth can do. I hear he has a supernova attack.
