Final Fantasy 7. For the graphics. And I'm not big on graphics, but I'd prefer NES graphics to FF7's weird Lego bodies.

The same can be said about the majority of early 3D games. They just don't hold up well today and the 2D games a generation prior still look better than they do.

Older games from the 80's and 90's that i would love to see re-done/enhanced:

1. Master of Orion II (still play this)

2. Pool of Radiance (C64 version)

3. Missle Command (Atari version)

4. Tron (arcade version)

5. NATO Commander (C64 game)

6. Ultima IV and V

7. Final Fantasy II (I think it is IV in Japan)

That is off the top of my head, but I know there is more...

I love to game!

Joy Mech Fight, Custom Robo, and Bushido Blade all deserve a new game...

Hell, yes! I keep XP on my modern i3 laptop just for MOO2!

It doesn't need much of a remake - even just a compatibility update so the graphics don't mess up like they do now in Win7 (no matter what compatibility mode I choose!)

SMAC (Sid Miers' Alpha Centauri) could sure stand to be brought back with modern graphics! I'd settle for the same compatibility fix!

The Steal Panther series (I, II, and III) by SSI from the 1990's need to be redone (and in a way that have).

I still run an old full tower with windows 98 on it just to play these.

Awesome!! !

I feel it does need a remake on some of the aspects of the game.

If I could here are a few things I would do:

1) Major enhancement to the AI. I can easilly tell I am not playing against several computer opponents, but rather one computer opponent with several different faces.

2) The ability to terraform toxic worlds. it could be expensive, but the option should be there.

3) Have the ability to buy technologies from other players, not just trade techs, but use money or ships as well.

There is more, but I feel certain things would make this awesome game even better!

***

I have tried Alpha Centauri but I have not given it a fair shot. I really should. I seem to want to play Civilization II over and over.

I wish I could get my copy of SMAC to work on any of my computers. Fortunately MOO2 still works fine. I even got into MOO3 recently and actually finished a game over the holidays. Although MOO2 is still a better game IMO.

A tip on the Toxic worlds gift the system to a civ you are either at war with or want to be at war with. Then after you get Stellar converters you can destroy the planet and then build an artificial planet. This also works if you want to "upgrade" tiny and small planets as, artificial planets will usually fall in the medium to large range.

Even the GOG.com version refuses?

I purchased the disks from a vendor out of the UK but, when I tried to run the game it came up with a processor error/incompatibility. I'll check out GOG but, I'll have to wait until I have some money.

What I could briefly think of from the top of my head for console games:
- The original Spyro series (on PS1)
- The original Ratchet and Clank series (on PS2)

I'd also like to see Age of Empires (yes, the original). While I don't care about the original game having isometric graphics even in this day and age (gameplay is more important than graphics), I'd like to see what a graphical remake would turn out like.

I bought a copy of Moo3 a few years ago, but never installed it. From what other friends told me about it, I was turned off. I agrre with you that -even without having played Moo3 that Moo2 is a better game. lol

Yeah, I know about that tip on toxic worlds. But the fact that irks me is that you can create a planet from a gas giant and asteroids, but you can't change the atmosphere on a toxic planet. Just doesn't make sense in my book.

the old sega classics badly need a modern overhaul.

Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, Strider, Super Thunderblade, Alicia Dragoon, Toe Jam and Earl, Alex Kidd and Golden Axe.
