Afterbirth came out 2 days ago and it is so much fun! Especially the new character, Lilith who i did not expect to love as much as i do. Try her in Greed Mode, she is obscenely powerful in that.

Yeah, that's all I've been doing too.

What's sad: The community for the game is already up in arms about it. "ZOMG THERES NOT ENOUGH STUFF" since apparently the announced number of total new items was, ah, about 50 higher than what seems to be currently there? Heck if I know, I never saw that. What I saw was on the platinumgod.uk page (reference page for every item/trinket/thing ever), and going "Whoa, 75 new items! That DO things! And trinkets that do who knows what! And... other stuff!".

And then all the new mechanics like the thin rooms or the hazard rooms or the "do I push the huge obvious button, or do I not risk it?" rooms, or... piles of other things. Heck, I got the Gold Hearts unlocked just earlier and found those... I gotta say, that's a creative type of consumable. Strange, but very interesting.

There's a few problems every now and then (The Haunt should NEVER be encountered in a thin vertical room... particularly when it's an even nastier champion version of him... yes, there are champion versions of him now) but... my experience so far has been grand.

And yeah, I love Lilith as well, though... still hard to beat the hilarity that Eden often is. I started Greed Mode as Eden with Epic Fetus, and that white horse thing that you get from beating Conquest. I had to take a moment to stop laughing before I could even get started, just because of how silly it looked. And then the rest of the run was.... so many explosions. So many.

My only problem is the challenges: Alot of them are.... badly made. Alot of "death by pure RNG" there that skill cant get you past, particularly the "speed" one. I might skip those and just cheat them into unlocking their items. Normally I never, ever do that in any game, but this... this is a unique situation. They look like the sort of thing that'll do nothing but make me really angry. Same with The Lost, who I still refuse to bother with. Dont want.

Other than that, still Mario Maker for me now, and soon the new Anno and the Steam release of Mushihime-sama. Ahhh, grand time for gaming right now. Probably wont be anything else interesting to me for awhile after that though, or at least nothing I'm aware of.

I'm kind of tempted to buy the special edition of all three Fire Emblem Fates games from Japan, so I am playing Awakening again to stop myself. I'm also replaying Pokemon Explorers of the Sky because it's one of my favourite games.

Dota 2 at the moment. I mostly play with the bots because I can't stand how stupid some players are. But when I get competent team mates it's great fun.

Guitar Hero mainly. Metallica, Band Hero, World Tour and Warriors of Rock are my favorites in that series. Some Mario Kart 7 and Mario Golf: World Tour. I've been intensely into those games a while and I'm very good at them (able to 5-star all but the hardest Expert charts in GH, compete with the highest rated players online in MK7 and win gold trophies in tournaments in MG:WT in case you're curious.) I'm also very good at Dance Dance Revolution and play that sometimes - I need to more often.

Had a bit of free time on Saturday that I didn't know what to do with, so I finally started playing the Shadowgate remake.

Man, that game is hard...and it takes a lot longer to start over from the beginning then the original did...so much new stuff in there.

I've only gotten stuck once so far (had to check a walkthrough)...might be stuck a second time, I'm not sure yet...

I found out that I can buy Nintendo dollars using Paypal, so now it will be a lot easier for me to waste my money. I bought Binding of Isaac on the 3DS, and it's pretty cool. I still die a lot, but the game in general feels way better than the old Flash version (I don't own Rebirth on the PC).

I need to get back into that game some time, I bet I'm super rusty now =( But on the foot pedal for my drums, the cord looks like it might be broken, I might need to fix it first.

I bought Splatoon last week.

I thought I'd treat myself to a game and I was going to go for Halo 5 considering its good reviews but when I saw a gameplay video (courtesy of the esteemed Mr Biffo at Digitiser2000) I changed my mind- I really wasn't impressed.

I've had quite a bit of fun with Splatoon. I've even been playing online (!) - it's refreshing that there is no voice chat. There are a few rough edges to the game (I seem to spend as long waiting for a game as I do actually playing and I really wish you could skip those news broadcasts!) but otherwise highly recommended. I love the bright colours and cheerful presentation.

I am currently watching my niece play The Simpsons Game on the Wii. It's quite an old game (I believe the publishers realeased it in 2008) but she seems to be enjoying herself, which is the most important thing.

Back in my day, Link's Awakening didn't have any colors.
