Hey Kuraudo777, I don't know where to post this but I want to start getting into Final Fantasy more, I have guide that recommends which versions to go with for each game. Do you agree with this list? It originated from 4chan truth be told, also which game should I start with? I have played Final Fantasy 1 on the PSP and thats about it.

Anyway here is the list,

FF1 - PS1
FF2 - PSP
FF3 - PSP
FF4 - PS1
FF5 - GBA
FF6 - GBA
FF7 - PC
FF8 - PS1
FF9 - PS1

I played 7 and 8 originals on PS1 and PC. PC was better sound and graphics, providing you knew how to setup MIDI not a problem with the newer ones they converted them to MP3 I believe. Graphics was better as you could play at higher resolutions so not as blocky.

Glitches not sure on the re-releases as I played originals and they were fine. But TBH when I play them again next it will be on the PS1.

Holy crap Darius Burst just released on Steam. Either I'm hallucinating this or reality is cracking. This was one of those "holy heck this looks freaking awesome but I'm never going to get to play it" games. Originally this was a Japanese arcade exclusive, and one of the most bloody GIGANTIC arcade "cabinets" out there. Seriously, the thing is freaking enormous, with the longest damn screen I've ever seen.

To put it in better words: "It had a huge, dual screen display, and the sound was so loud that it could rattle adjacent buildings if you left it up too high! Furthermore, it could even support simultaneous 4 player co-op. Sitting down with 3 of your friends to battle giant cyber-fish was a truely awe-inspiring experience that impressed Darius fans, but the cabinets were so massive and rare that very few players ever got to experience the game in it's full glory."

Frankly the "battle giant cyber-fish" bit would have caught my attention even if I didnt already know what Darius was.

I have played the iOS version of this on my iPad (not available on phones, because they would explode), and it was freaking fantastic. Been awhile though and I suspect some things were changed. To see it on PC, just.... yep. Gotta be hallucinating or something. Not that I care as long as I get to have it...

EDIT:

EDIT 2:

....there is a boss with a name of "Great Thing".

I love whoever made this.

I find it funny that even though Meteor is supposedly going to hit Gaia in seven days, you can take as long as you want. It's sort of like:
Tifa: Meteor's going to hit the Planet! We've got to do something!
Cloud: Let's go Chocobo racing!
*one month later*
Cloud: Okay, now it's time to stop Meteor.
I wonder if it will be like that in the remake too or if there will actually be a time limit.

I hope there is a time limit on that part will make it more real/intense.

It's kind of ironic that I don't like time-limits in games at all, yet I actually want a Meteor-crash time limit. Self-destruct escapes *cough Metroid games cough* are the bane of my video game playing existence.

Yeah, especially when music like this plays in the background:

I love the Prime 3 menu theme.

I finally started playing FFVII again, but I haven't got very far at all.

There's a lot of games like that. I always think it's funny, because, for example, your team-mate will shout "I need backup! Get over here ASAP!" and I usually fall for it for a second...and then remember that it actually probably doesn't matter at all. Like in Dead Island...I can do several missions first, or run straight there, and either way they'll comment on how "it took you long enough".

"(hero), (person or setting) needs your help quick!"

"you're not ready? ok, feel free to come back when you are."

never heard that song the two times i played prime 2. i guess it was bound to be on the multiplayer i never used.
that one doesn't play during any escape sequences, but this one does:

anyone else think ridley has a fear of the number 2? only metroid games not featuring him are the second one for gameboy and prime 2 (....and hunters!)

after about two or so hours fiddling with the installer, copying the contents from the cd to my hard drive, restarting the computer to load the neverhood's restoration project site and then receiving an nginx error, having permission denied to copy to the HDD on my windows 7 desktop, and having the raw game play incredibly slowly and with corrupted colors on both computers...

...i finally found a way to smoothly run the neverhood on my windows 8 laptop via scummvm. i am very happy this purchase wasn't a complete waste of time (i'm sure i could have pirated it if i was a little less incompetent).

Should have tried Virtual PC 2007, that program is some kind of wizard magic, great for stuff that is too new and/or too Windows for DOSBox.

It tries to tell you that it isn't supported in newer OSes, but it's lying to you.
