I really like Aerial Ace, it never misses, right? It's my favourite as a bird pokemon move though. I'm not fond of Earthquake though :P
Curious, how does the GTS or whatever that global thing in Jubitown? I want to trade some of the pokemon that I evolved but don't want to use but don't have anybody else nearby who plays pokemon.

Yeah, that's Aerial Ace. Lots of pokemon can learn it, for some reason. It's based on a swordplay known as the "swallow return" or "tsubame gaeshi". That is, to turn your sword around after a slash and quickly slash back the way it came, a bit like a swallow's tail moves in flight.
Bounce is another interesting Flying move. It can't be used outside of battle, but it's like a Fly that can paralyse.

:) I guess you figured out the GTS. The name might change to english if it evolves. That depends on whether it's an original name or just the species name.

EDIT: Wow, pokemon are a little...active...
I got three eggs at the same time now I've already hatched another 3, including some failure attempts
Also, I got some pokrus virus pokemon now

Hmm. Breeding can be pretty complicated. Some items have effects when the parents hold them. The Incense items can let you get so-called baby pokemon like Azurill and Budew instead of the middle evolution. An Everstone helps pass down the same personality as the mother.
Oh, do you know that the egg pokemon can inherit some moves from the father?
A pokemon with Magma Armor or Flame Body lets the egg hatch in half the time if they are next to eachother in your party.

Ah, I have a pokerus too. If you keep someone infected in a PC box, the virus never goes away from that pokemon. Could be useful if you want to spread the infection later.

Edit: Ah, I just realised that Thunder would be useless for a Tyranitar because of the Sand Stream. Thunder Bolt or Thunder Punch would still work, though.

Does bounce take two turns?
I have Aerial Ace as a TM but not bounce :) I'm not sure if I'm going to use Aerial Ace, Toxic, or Bounce for Crobat :)
I didn't know that egg pokemon can inherit moves from the father, thanks for the info. I did know about the incense, but not sure where to find them. I want to get Azurill, such a pain to try and catch in the safari :P Marill was easy though :P
I put a few in the PC :)

My Crobat has the moves: fly, confuse ray, wing attack and bite, and I give it a king's rock (which can flinch the opponent), my main strategy is to stall my opponent with confusing, flinching and flying so I can either waste their pp or get lots of hits on them. Fly alows to avoid the next attack of your opponent, confuse ray almost always confuses, bite can flinch and usefull for psychic and ghosts and wing attack has the same power as aerial ace, but aerial ace has 20 PP while Wing attack has a wopping 35 PP. I also don't use any poison attacks, because poison is only effective against plant types, which flying are good against anyway, though maybe Toxic could be effective.

At the moment I am trying to catch Mesprit and Cresselia, at times I can get close then they shoot away.

Yeah, Bounce takes two turns. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist as a TM, so it's hard to teach outside of Platinum, but I think it will be available in HG/SS as well. I think that most pokemon that can learn can learn Fly can't learn Bounce, though.
Air Slash is another good move for Crobat, since it has a whooping 30 % chance to flinch, and Crobat is fast enough to hit first.

Azurill is so cute. :)

If a female Pikachu or Raichu holds a Light Ball in the daycare, the egg will know the move Volt Tackle, which is pretty strong. A Light Ball can be found very rarely on wild Pikachu. You can either use Thief or just catch the Pikachu to get its item.

Light Ball also doubles a Pikachu's Attack and Sp. Attack. (But doesn't work on Pichu or Raichu.)

I love hurting my opponents slowly but surely :) My Ganger has Curse and Confuse Ray, My Crobat has Confuse Ray right now, and my Ponyta's fire attacks often burn the opponents :) Hopefully my Kadabra will learn Future Sight soon! (Psycho Cut looks cool too though :))
I'm starting to really like Ghost pokemon, especially ones with Psychic and Dark attacks with them.
I might go with Air Slash, how much PP does that move have?

I have a female pikachu, I'll have to teach one of my pokemon Thief and have some fun trying to get a Light Ball in the Pokemon Manison :P

I like that, too. Leech Seed is great, but so few pokemon learn it.
I only have one single pokemon with Psycho Cut: One of my Gallade.
Air Slash has 20 PP.

Oh, ebec11, Poison Fang is even better than I said. It has a 30 % chance to inflict bad poison, plus 10 % to flinch. Not just 10 % poison.

Happy Hunting!

I have three more Elite Four rounds and two more Villa items left now. And I pre-ordered HeartGold today.

Poision Fang sounds awesome. I'm definitely getting that one :) I might pick Air Slash, I'm unsure right now. I need to compare all the bird moves that Crobat can have.
Kadabra can learn Psycho Cut, it's a bit late though.
I'm trying to get my mom to buy me Heart Gold since it's out in Canada, but my mom doesn't really understand the pokemon thing. I only have $16.31 though in my piggy bank :P

Aww, I hope you manage to get it.

My Tyranitar has Aerial Ace, Earthquake and Stone Edge. I really want to have a Special move, so I'm thinking I'll add Focus Blast, Blizzard, Fire Blast or Surf. I don't know which one. :?

My next Tyranitar might have Crunch, Aqua Tail, Earthquake and Thunder instead. Or maybe a more status oriented one.
Earthquake isn't really necessary, but I wouldn't feel right about a Tyranitar that couldn't shake the ground. :P

Earthquake is a good move :) My Tudwig evo (can't remember its name) has is, I love using it in 2-on-2 with my Crobat :)
I'm not sure about Aqua Tail. Is there other water moves that Tyranitar can learn that is stronger?
I think Blizzard is an interesting move, Fire Blast might be more useful though.

The final one is Torterra, but I don't remember the middle one. :?
That sounds like a good team. :)
It can learn Surf, but they're about the same strength. It could learn Water Pulse, too. It's much weaker, but can confuse.
Blizzard is great for an Abomasnow. Since Abomasnow causes an automatic hailstorm, and Blizzard never misses in hail.

I think I will pick a Totodile for HeartGold. I had Cyndaquil in Silver, and another Cyndaquil in Crystal.
I will probably trade to get a Cyndaquil in HeartGold too.

Glotle or something like that. I have Torterra now :) I just call her Wanda though, no matter the form.
I like Surf a lot because it can hit two pokemon at once in 2-on-2 battle, just have a grass pokemon as the team mate. What about the accuracy and the PP of the two moves? Which one is better there?
Water Pulse is really weak compared to a lot of water moves, if you want confusion, go with Confuse Ray (though not for Tyranitar)
Hm, I'll either go with Cyndaquil or Totodile :) I just did grass in Pearl, and Chickorita is weak compared to many other grass starters.

I named my Empoleon Alexander. :) Are you keeping Leech Seed, btw?
Surf is slightly better in PP and accuracy. Hm, I didn't notice that before. Maybe I'll use that.
Maybe I will keep Crunch on my current (non-water) Tyranitar and swap its Earthquake for Earth Power. Earth Power is a bit weaker, but will be better against pokemon with low Sp. Defense.

Ah, poor Chikorita. :P Has never been popular. I think I'll get a Heracross early. Heracross is good. I think all you need is Headbutt to get it from trees.

Speaking of hurting opponents slowly, one of the trainers in Platinum has a Shuckle with Toxic, Sandstorm, Protect and Rest. Sandstorm boosts its Sp. Defense by 50 %, so even a super effective attack isn't always enough. It can't do much when the opponent is immune to poison, though.

I had to delete Leach Seed for a HM, I couldn't get through Mt. Cornet otherwise. Glad I could help with the water move problem :)

I got a Heracross here on Pearl, traded it for an Abra :)
I'm having issues beating Cyrus, bleh. My pokemon are severely under trained, like 10 levels under except one :P

I've noticed that all Cyrus' pokemon are weak to Rock. I wonder if that's meant as a pun on Cyrus probably disliking rock music. :P He seems like he would.

Oh, during April, HG/SS will be able to download something that lets you catch Surf Pikachu and Fly Pikachu. Others will have Flail or Volt Tackle.

Only the Chandelier left for the Villa, but I don't think I'll bother with walking 300 000 steps. I don't even know how many I have already.

Right now, I'm just getting more pokemon for my Ranch so I can get my Mew sooner.
Will also check the GTS regularly to see if anyone takes my last offered trade. (Shieldon for Turtwig.)

I just remembered that I had a Scizor in Silver. I just have to get another Scizor for HeartGold!
I even like that its one weakness is Fire. It makes sense, with the pokedex noting that it can overheat.
It's a trade evolution, but if I can't find a good trade, I'll even try a glitch or something to get one.
