The mario party series, they rock so much, and it's just so fun when you play with your friends

Haha yes! you are so right. I think most people write mario party off before they even try it, but it's an absolutely awesome game. Every always laughs at me on the mushroom game, because of my crappy colour vision i always run to the wrong one, or i'm usually a second behind everyone else because i have to wait and see where everyone is running!

I first met this title when perusing a DS download kiosk and decided to see what Elite Beat Agents was. Absolutely fantastic. Bought the game and played through it. Haven't played the original, but I did download the soundtrack. I heard there was a sequel in the works in Japan ... desperately hoping we get one here.

Another good pick. Loved the gameplay and the music here.

I'll throw Rez out there. It got more recognition with the PS2 release and recently with the Xbox Live Arcade version, but I fell in love from the original Japan- and Europe-only Dreamcast release.

Have to mention Samba de Amigo as well. Another little-known Dreamcast release. Quirky music game where you shake maracas to the beat while a dancing monkey does his thing in the background. It's out for the Wii now as well, but the control is less than desirable.

World War II Online: Battleground Europe - Most people can't look past the graphical quality and experience the gameplay, the thrill of a massively multiplayer player online game that has no instancing at all.

Soldiers: Heroes of World War II - Great game, set the stage for most other games.

The 2 Condemned should also be considered.

Dark messiah of might and magic got a meta score of about 71 but it is an amazing game, it scored lowly mostly because of bugs that were soon fixed with updates :(

It came out a while ago.

As far as I know, nothing new is in the works =/

If you Google "osu!", you may find a link to a website that has a down loadable game very similar to Ouendan!. The game play is basically the same except you play using the mouse. There are also two different game play modes, such as Taiko and a fruit catching one. And the best part is that there are tons of "beatmaps" uploaded by users, so you can choose which songs to download and play. And it is FREE!

Ouendan with a mouse either sounds like an exercise in futility, or they dumbed it down so much that it's not that much fun @_@

There was some Looney Tunes game for DS that was like a mix of Ouendan and DDR, but it was way too easy and I got bored of it pretty quick.

Come to think of it, there are very few music based games that I actually like.

It's actually quite fun, and as challenging as (maybe more challenging than) Ouendan! or EBA. If you have an iPhone, you can get it for that. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of story from most of the beatmaps. However, if you want to play to the beat of songs like "The Ultimate Showdown", "Caramelldansen", or many, many others, this is the game to get.

I am more of a PC gamer

So ... Descent 3, and Homeworld 2.

Descent 3 was an awesome game, but the problem was that the server had no hacking controls, and mod software was built into the game. So players could easily mod their ships to do whatever they wanted, and then join servers with a ship that had 1000% extra shields, and rapid fire death cannons. It somewhat destroyed the game when you couldn't get a reasonably fair game going online anymore.

Homeworld 2 is a real time strategy, and it has the best interface of any strategy game ever made. Most Real time strategies require you to click on a bunch of different buildings, work with a small mini map, etc. This game allowed you a full expansive arena wide view and a comprehensive way to control massive armies while keeping production going. The only problem is that it was hard to 'micro' your units to any advantage. It was a purely strategic and tactical game. Individual unit control was fairly unimportant (exact opposite of Warcraft 3). I thought this was a great thing as I like to work strategically, but most people wanted to control their individual units, so it never grew much.

Gah, how could I've forgotten about System Shock 2? Another great one.

I think it's safe to say that just about every game by Looking Glass has been underrated...they've only just started to break free from cult status by creating less-than-stellar Xbox sequels =/

Unfortunately, you'd think people would play these games and use the reasoning "I like this game, I'd love the previous games too!", but I guess not :x
