Oh my god, I thought I was the only one who hated lost planet. It has the corniest acting(it's like watchhing an awful anime dub) and it was so arcadey. I really anticipated it and yet when I finally played it, I almost threw up an hour in. Looking forward to the second one though, hopefully, it'll redeem itself.

Lemme see here . . .

Best: Total Annihilation, Starcraft, Missionforce: Cyberstorm, Supreme Commander, C&C 3 (and its expansion)

Worst: Robot Arena (if you can read, you dont need to play this game), the 3d Sonic Games, Metal Fatigue (great concept ruined by poor planning and execution)

I can safely say that the worst game I ever picked up for the XBox 360 is Leisure Suit Larry - Box Office Bust. My expectations were extremely low for that game, and I was still disappointed. The only reason I purchased it was because I was hoping for a whiff of nostalgia, considering that I played through the first two Leisure Suit Larry games when I was 8 or 9 on the PC while the parents were asleep. As far as I can remember, those games were not all that great, either, but at least they had some genuine laughs in them. Ack.

Best Deus Ex, honestly if you are a lover of the action/stealth genre with a GREAT story and solid voice acting, this will be your all time favorite. The RPG elements also add a great experience to the game as well.

Worst Bass Fishing for the PS2. Yep, fishing. My mother got it hoping to go fishing, but not even I could even understand the controls. Meanwhile, my camera angle is always in the blinding and murky depths of the water... with no fish.

Will the guys who are dissin' Sonic please either be nice or shut up. I am a big Sonic fan and do not appriciate people who diss games they haven't played, played once and didin't care, or played through only ONE FRIGGIN' GAME!! !! I have lots of experience with Sonic games, but not the problems minus the high speed crashes. So, unless you are nicer or get more experience, shut your mouth about it!

Worst games: Shaia because of the nudity (I am SO not a fan of fighting Penthouse models! ), besides, it was too hard & the mobs were scary! Also, Planeshift because there are too many bugs & the help community is pretty much non existent.

Best games: Elder Scrolls IV, & I play Jade Dynasty. I also play Minions of Mirth, but not as much.

So far the best game ever is Modern Warfare 2... The storyline is EPIC and from my point of view completely different than what I have seen... ALOT of WTF??? moments... starting with the second mission where you are ice climbing to a snow strewn base, racing top speed down the mountain on snowmobiles, breaking Captain Price out of prison, the invasion of DC by the Russian army, and many others... Most first person shooters are really derivative... but MW 2 is a story that would rival the best from Tom Clancy

best story driven RPG- Planescape: Torment

One of the best RPGs ever, just for its story. More of an interactive book. Also quite possibly never to be repeated, due to games now being about good graphics foremost.


best game ever- Starcraft.

One of, if not the best balanced strategy game ever made. 3 very unique teams with completely different strengths, weaknesses and play styles. Almost a national sport in South Korea (true!, they have 2 TV channels for the tournaments and stuff). While WoW may have 11+ million subscribers and be half the market share of MMOs globally I would still rate Starcraft as the better game.

Worst: Any bad game reviewed by Angry Video Game Nerd

Best: Fallout and Fallout 2, Hitman series, Operation Flashpoint

Best: Dwarf Fortress.
Second best: Élite.
Also Daggerfall (better than Morrowind, Fallout 3 and very much better than Oblivion), Lemmings, Alpha Centauri (better than Civ#N).

Worst: Most disappointing game I've played is Republic: The Revolution. Leaving aside the fact that faux Cyrillic is a personal berserk button, they promised so much and delivered so little.

best: red faction franchise, halo 3.
worst: alone in the dark 5, yarris.

Shaq-Fu & Rise Of The Robot's are pure crap.

Best Game: Dino Crisis. Best game ever. If you haven't played it, go buy it now. It's worth the money. You'll have to get it online though. It's 10 years old.

Worst game: Disney Dinosaur. Yes, I got this game when I was a young child and it was so terrible that I almost vomited. Awful.

Runner up for best game is Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.

Edit: Dwarf Fortress comes quite high on the list as well. So does Morrowind.

Best game: Jet Set Radio Future. Youth punks on rollerblades spraying graffiti and evading the cops, and terrorizing the population. What could be better than that?
Worst game: Dead or Alive 3. Getting my ass kicked by an old Chinese man was horrifying. I've never forgiven him for that. And he still kicks my ass every time I play the game. And every time I play a wrestling game, Chyna always punches me in the balls. I hate her.

I chuckled when I saw your name Captain Kirk, the first time that I see you I'm typing a post about my favourite game (Dino Crisis). One of the characters in that game is called Doctor Kirk. I found that to be... ironic. I think.

Anyway, good name choice. And I haven't played any of the games that you listed...

Best: Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Elder Scrolls Oblivion.
