well, let me ask my nephew. He is the FF freak (LOL seriously don't hate me for saying that)

Final Fantasy 6. He says the Opera scene was awesome, and when ****** jumped off the cliff, it made him cry.

Anyway, i don't play FF games. Sorry i can't give an opinion.

He did tell me to add that if you search youtube carefully, and know the Japanese phrase for FF, you can find the entire freaking Final Fantasy 13 movie collection. Some guy has video captured the ENTIRE game, including the ending, and posted it on youtube. Just look for it.

I prefer the older FF games
my favorite is 4
second favorite is 5

I have 3 for the DS but I haven't played it enough to rate it.

To me 12 was a lot like an interactive movie, and because of that I hated it. I kind of expect the next one to be just like it.

As for favorite I would say VI but everytime I hear music from IX I have to go play it.

I started playing with Final Fantasy 4 which would be getting an upgrade for PSP with its sequel The After Years Next Month. I pretty much played through V thru XIII. Best Musical Scores go to Final Fantasy 8, 10, 10-2 and 13.

VI, followed closely by XII.

XIII is the only title in the series that was pure garbage. The remainder I at least thought were decent.

For me, it's gotta be X. Blitzball was the most enjoyable distraction in any FF in my opinion, the sphere grid really felt like the best growth system in any game in the series, and the combat system worked much better than traditional turn based or ATB as well. The story was fairly decent too. After X, I'd say IX, because it just felt like a final fantasy game through and through, which is more than you can say for any game in the series after X.

V was my fave before I played IX. Now it is a close second. I could spend hours and hours playing it, and I played it through a few times, mastering every job for every character.

I'd have to say it's a tie between VI and XII, because both had very strong background stories for the playable characters.

But if you twisted my arm and said I had to choose only one, then I'd say VI, because of one part: The Opera House Aria. That makes me cry every time I watch it.
