Something I love very much in video games is good characters and story. Most Zelda games before TP had half decent stories (kinda cliche) and mostly generic NPCs (I exclude Majora's Mask.) TP had a great story and fantastic characters (see: Midna.) That's why I liked it better. It had it's flaws, and I don't think anything can beat the perfection that was alttp, but it was still great. Though I would agree that it was a bit of mish mash of Oot and ALttP.

My top 5 zelda games of all time

1. Majoras Mask (not just the best Zelda but on of the best games of all time)
2. Links Awakening DX
3. A link to the past
4. Wind Waker
5. Ocarina of time

I honestly do not understand the hate on Wind Waker. It was an amazing game. I mean the graphic style is different, but the game would not have worked without it. Plus it had one of the best storys in gaming history imo.

And I just hated tp (second worst zelda game next to ph)
