The Wii is sort of a silly name. I imagine it has more clout in it's home country of Japan. The interesting thing I remember was when the Playstation 2 came out, everyone was talking about wanting a PS2. Being involved with computers back from the old days, I kept thinking of an IBM personal system II when that was stated, and kept thinking to myself why in the heck would someone want one of those old, obsolete microchannel pieces of junk!

I really don't like the name "Wii". It sounds utterly ridiculous.

I'm surprised. I thought your wii would be much larger. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

My right hand is good at playing with my wii. My left hand isn't. It hurts when I use my left hand.

You too?
me, responding to an acquaintance: But, PS/2's are pieces of crap, man. Are you out of your tiny little mind?
him: "Dude, they just came out yesterday. Say it with me. Sony. Playstation. 2."
me: "Ohhhhhhh, playstation...god, I thought you were talkin' about ...." and so on

I like Nintendo...but "Wii?"

How much did they actually pay the person that came up with this name I wonder?

I'm not a console gamer and thus the following is not my opinion, but nonetheless I feel it deserves inclusion in this thread:

A fellow Aspie whom I know from a summer camp would defend the nintendo Wii by using his second obesession with classic rock. "Why else would the Queen song go," his rhetoric went, "WE (i.e. Wii) are the champions? Or WE (wii again) will WE will rock you?"
