Good news, I may get access to my mom's current XP computer, so I can run Morrowind on it! But I still like Oblivion better, w/ the DB & everything.
Also, speaking of Oblivion, here is my
1st quest mod and my
my 1st house mod!
Why can't you run it on your regular computer?

Oblivion definitely has a better stealth system... but choosing to be a thief in Oblivion is questionable. Oblivion has nothing of value to steal lol. You could break into a store to steal pitchforks and yarn I suppose (Or various other items worth 0 gold)... or steeling that iron longsword from the smithy is pretty pointless when you can join the Fighter's guild and take all of theirs Smile
Morrowind's stealth system was not as advanced but there was always something worth trying to swipe off a counter or steal from somebody's person Smile
I do like your point that Oblivion doesn't feel like another world though. Those were the words I was looking for for that game. The generic medieval world just doesn't feel like an Elder Scrolls game. As I said before though, Oblivion is an okay game I guess.
It's still more fun sneaking around in peoples houses, it just feels more realistic (I think. I've never actually broke into someones house at night to steal their valuables), especially since they actually go to bed in this game. It's more about roleplaying than anything, I made an Argonian character that lived in the well outside of that Mages Guild just to see where the story would take him, so I'm a big fan of roleplaying characters rather than being "the very best that no one ever was."
Oblivion feels to me more like what I've imagined parts of Northern Europe and Russia to look like, lots of snow and forests. Morrowind reminded me of nothing in this world, which was a good thing. Still fun, and Shivering Isles fixed the problems slightly, though a lot of it was just Morrowind with new graphics.
