I love Minecraft because there's so much to do in it. Most people only see the basic stuff, like building a floating house and fighting creepers with arrows. But you can also engineer a bunch of stuff in it, like holding up sand (or gravel) with a torch, then putting torches on that sand to hold more sand, so breaking the first torch makes the entire structure collapse. Then you can combine that with the glitch that lets you change the direction of water, so you can make the structure collapse with a push of a button. You can then build the structure underground and make it so that you push a button to make the sand beneath you collapse to reveal a secret room! :D! !! !

There's lots more you can do with how blocks interact with each other (and also with a few glitches); Minecraft is more than a sandbox-survival game.

yeah i know this game has so much to it, but i'm not good at building machines in the game. i'm still learning the basics of mob traps, currently i got one on the roof of my house, it works but it's not effecient i'm using cactus so far, but i might need to build a grinder using lava instead.

i don't know jack about redstone so building even a simple minecart system is a complex ordeal.

so most of the time when i'm in the game i just let my imagination run wild, i want to build a house shaped like a train someday, either the tgv, or the super chief.

have you seen that guy that built a working computer in minecraft, i saw it and i have no idea how he got that thing to work.

I don't get how he made a computer either. I'm not very good at redstone, only good enough to make simple mechanisms. I only know AND and OR gates, and how to control the direction of redstone.

your better off then me at redstone, i can make a simple circut but mostly when i'm working with redstone i just put the lever next to the door and avoid circuts completely.

or i use it to write words on the ground but that's it.

I doubt there's a fully working computer out yet. I'm building a small 8bit one myself and it's a bloody pain. Old Screenshot of the ALU and small part of the memory reader:

There's a CPU out already and individual components of a computer like an ALU but I have yet to see them decode a program and run it yet, so I'm working on it.

well the one he made is really just a huge calculator, but it covers about a 800\800 block chunk of land on his map and to me that alone is impressive.

like that enterprise that one guy made. it was on creative but still it's huge. someone else made the death star.

i see all these creations and i wish i could make something like that.

i was thinking about building the durandel from xenosaga but i know i just don't have the will to do it, doesn't help that i can't find good pics of it, nor do i know the ship's interior layout.

but i know that it would be 4000 blocks long.

but anyway what texture pack is that? cause that is the coolest pickaxe i've ever seen.

anyway this is the compy i'm talking about
