Finally, just a small nitpick. mori_pastel said that Borderlands was made by the same company as Bioshock, which is false. Borderlands was developed by Gearbox Software, Bioshock by Irrational Games. Borderlands is a huge bunch of fun though, so don't discard it for that. :)

Ack, you're right! They're both published by 2K, which is why I got confused. I'm always mixing up developers and publishers. @_@ My bad. I'm still going to consider it the real spiritual sequel to Bioshock, though. It just feels so similar while at the same time fixing the main faults I found in Bioshock.

Also, to add to the list, I've been playing Dragon Age recently. Tons of fun (if you don't mind the battle system, which I can see being a turn-off for some) and an interesting story to boot! Morrigan disapproves of everything I do. : ( Why can't she just like me?

But if you hate the whole fantasy setting thing, maybe try Mass Effect? I don't think it's been suggested yet. It's made by the same people as Dragon Age (I double-checked this time! XD) and has the same basic "feel" to it, but it's in a sci-fi setting instead. I didn't get into it much though because the battle system murdered me. I just can't do that whole "sit behind the chest-high wall and wait for the enemy to poke their heads out" thing. I like to run in, guns blazing! Which gets me killed very fast in Mass Effect.

If you like shooters (which it seems you do), see if you can find a copy of the Orange Box (one of gamings all-time best deals). I am currently planning on picking up Valkyria Chronicles, myself, which slipped me by at release, but it looks great. It's an anime-style strategy game set in an alternate version of World War II.

So, I went out and bought Dragon Age, Borderlands and Fallout 3.

Dragon Age, cannot get used to the combat style heh! Can't say I like it. Borderlands - so addictive, I. LOVE. IT. Fallout 3, love it, but I suck at the combat, I always end up dying every time I encounter an enemy. :P

You should look into Hot Shots Golf 5, Sonic Unleashed, and (when it comes out) Sonic Generations.
