Another vote for the C64, that SID chip is just about amazing! especially bearing in mind the era it was designed, and the SID musicians of the day were incredible, ome of the greats like Martin Walker, Martin Galway & Rob Hubbard made that 6581 sing !

As for games, my fave were Wizball, the Monty Mole games, Trapdoor, Dizzy, Hawkeye, Savage, virtually everything on Thalamus, and quite a few others that I can't think of at the moment.

What an awesome thread... I love atari, master system and mega-drive games.

Probably my favourite is Pitfall.

Hey, has anyone ever played Pitfall II (not the remake but the original Atari sequel). I can't find a copy of it anywhere (emulator game I mean)

8-way Bomberman on SNES. If only I had the controllers and the game. :(

I'm a huge multiplayer fan, so I almost never game at all. But I love my SNES. DKC and Gradius. Bomberman!! ! But when I'm bored, I like to fire up the Gamecube and play old Sonic games on the Sonic Mega Collection disc. Sonic 2 is still the greates thing ever, I really miss side scrollers and 2-D top view games. Oh, and I remember loving Little Mermaid for the NES. It was a fun challenge, that game.

I collect Sega games. The pawn shop is stupid, pricing expensive games at $3 dollars. Works good for me, so I can't complain. I go to a store an hour away and make an online purchase a couple times a year.

I still play Sonic the Headhog on a Sega Master system Emulator some times. I am about ready to give up on Alex the Kid in wonder land. Which i have never been able to get past the volcanos even since I have owned that game for 16 years. Pretty sad. I don't like that game any more naturally.

I like Retro games but on the PC... I just like being able to use the main menu with the mouse, then play using the mouse as a joystick...

NES is the best, I generally play Ice Climber and Galaga on it, occosionally paperboy, I also have an atari but those games are too old and most of the games that I have on the SNES just seem to suck now (I think its because alot of them are sports games and they do suck now.)

I like the NES, SNES and the Genesis equally. They had some great games on them. As for computers, I'm very fond of the Apple II and the old IBM PCs. I've never used a C64 before although I did have a Vic-20 at one point.

I really want to find Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG again, but they cost too much on Ebay or other websites. Secret of Mana has a sequel named Seiken Densetsu 3 that I love to play but it's too expensive to buy.
