Indeed, the old 360 console was a huge flop. In my house we had so many different ones go RROD and overheat. I have the new one and so far it has been brilliant :D

I swear my brother could make so much money on repairing computers and consoles, if he was to do it for a living. I don't know how many RROD 360s he's fixed for friends and friends of friends. The motherboards actually warm and he somehow uses a heat gun to fix the board. Then he puts better coolers on them mods the case for putting on additional fans, paints them, etc. I'm lucky my XBox hasn't gone wrong since I bought it years ago and it's one of the old white ones. And my PS3 I thought was konking out on me with the video, but I'm thinking my TV has some issues with the HDMI input.

Aparently there was a Russian console called the Dendy from 1992 to 1995:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendy_(console)

The funny thing about it - it still can't hold a candle, doesn't even occupy the same universe really, as Action Max. Apparently the Dendy was a Nintendo knock-off and not a particularly terrible one at that.

So, I still have to say Action Max FTW.

Since I only own a super nice computer and a PSP I must beg to differ. I am going to assume without an explanation that you simple don't have the proper hardware. I would view the PC to be a the most expensive way out but satisfying beyond what the consoles can bring if you can shell out the cash.

As for the worse gaming system I vote N-Gage or any Cell phone game. Except for Doom RGP but anything John Carmack touches is gonna be good.

To me the Virtual Boy is the easiest answer. I've had bad systems, but at least I could play them. The 32x add-on for the genesis comes to mind. It was bad, but I played it quite a bit. The Virtual Boy was known to literally give people headaches if they tried to play for too long. How could a gaming console that actually causes pain not be considered the worst?

Never play the Virtual Boy while walking down stairs, children.

I have to concur with the original poster as the Virtual Boy was the first thing that came to mind as soon as I saw the post. The facts alone simply cannot be ignored. That system lasted how long? Two months. Red lines and black is what I remember it consisting of. All you did was just put it on. You could just put your face up to a TV for that quality of 3d gaming. It was a failed attempt to utilize a technology in its infancy. Not much more different then giving a two month old a job and expecting him to excel. I just cannot see how anyone could argue with that.

I can't decide between The Virtual Boy,The CD-I and The Jaguar.
But here's my criticisms on the current gen consoles
Wii-Very few good games and you have to wait forever for those since first party titles take years but the two ds zeldas and metroid other m has shaken my certainty in that now,the bad pacing with VC and the extensive amount of shovelware

360- Often faulty hardware never had the rings but we had two disk drive failures, the over importance on mulitplayer in games and xbox live gold is kind of expensive for someone like me with a very unreliable source of money and I like to spend it on games not to extend the life span on games I already own. Also especially with call of duty if you don't get it and play mulitplayer on day one you will never come out ahead ever since you will never get enough experience to get to the good perks and weapons or it will take forever and by that point the sequel is already out.

PS3-Very spaced out exclusives and it usually gets stuck with inferior versions of multiplatform titles but if you like jrpgs like I do ps3 is the the system to go for that genre like 360 is for multiplatform shooter for me.Though that trend is starting to change.

Mind you I love all three but they each have points that annoy me. For example the late spring to fall good game drought.

The PS3 has its own taste and own games. It has free online. can play blu rays. and simple interface.

The 360 has 11 year old boys that trash talk. the same game in different packages and the red ring of death.

The PS3 is an excellent console with a good lineup of games, plus the features you list.

The XBox 360 is fine, the red ring of death is in the past at this point (and I've had my 360 for nearly four years and it still functions). I am definitely not an 11 year old boy who trash talks, and I doubt that the PS3 or any other online gaming environment lacks these. It also has a good lineup and plenty of decent features.

The worst trash talkers seem to be adult men, however.

Game.com or N-Gage or even the CD-i for me.

I don't remember Game.com having ANY good games on it and it was very flimsy. N-Gage had the one Sonic game that was decent (once you figured out the controls) and the CD-i......hmm..... well the Zelda games on it are good....for a laugh.

Well, the N64 is kinda bad. The games aren't bad by any means but the controller is a nightmare.

What's with the middle part of the controller? It kind of reminds me of a nunchuck fused in the center of an already oversized controller. There are excellent games for it though. :)

When Nintendo designed the N64, they were worried that the gamers would not get a hang of the smal analogue stick and it would be too much of a big change. So they decided to keep the D-pad and fused the handle of the stick in the middle. If i remember right.

The worst console for me, would be the X-box 360. Because of the Rrod, only.
