Waiting for the royal mail man to deliver it, it's like waiting for Santa. I also have the flu which gives me an excuse to sit there and play it for the entire weekend.

Thinking about starting a new game because I've levelled my first character as a melee warrior. After playing around with some spells and archery I can see that it'll be a lot more fun this time around playing as an archer or mage, because like Oblivion, the melee combat in Skyrim is still really terrible.

Overall a far superior game to Oblivion though, with much better character advancement and slightly less generic setting, and much more convincing NPCs.

I got some problems with the graphics :( It lags so much it hurts to watch. Even if it's the lowest of the low on graphics. Damn.

I looked forward to this game's release for a while now. I've played it for a half hour or so and it's boring me. Am I playing it wrong? I loved Oblivion but then again, that was years ago. Maybe I'm finally outgrowing videogames. They don't bring me the joy they used to. :/

I heard the great reviews so I rented this game. I was stunned. I was curious though (for those who are into the series) should I buy V (which is $60 U.S.) or go for IV Oblivion which I can get for $19 U.S. from reading reviews V has alot of enhancements such as dual wielding but I figured "maybe" I could purchase Oblivion and play through it and by then Skyrim might be $30. What do you fans think? It's epic and huge! I think I'll add the series to my "love it forever series." Which are games that can take alot of time and are worth the investment. (money is tight in college so I was thinking about games that I can play for a LONG time) :-) Thanks fans.

It is good, fighting against dragons is definetly epic, though despite being primarily a mage I can really only do mid range destruction spells, but I can still hit it as it flies by, when it lands, or via the cool new looking Flame Astronach that I picked up as a conjuration in the game's mage's guild like group. Sometimes enemies tend to be too easy, like wolves which are more scary looking than a real danger, or a Draugr which are only a danger if you don't move quickly, then there are sabre toothed cats which best decision is to run away, or a Draugr deathlord that can one shot ya, and are beyond dangerous. Not to mention that I was stuck in a dungeon to supposedly unlock a gate which I was able to just jump over to do, but no the game wants you to fight multiple people in a small area where you easly get surounded and or lost in combat. Also do not mess with giants.

To others playing, I am playing as a male High Elf with a focus on on Illusion and destruction, I cause heavy damage with dual flames, make the enemies fight each other, or recent favorite of calming them down, then taking them out with an unfair looking execution up close. Also just got into the Dark Brotherhood, the vampire in it is particulaly interesting.

Love this game so much. I am a Khajiit, running around the world with two daggers and robbing shops at night :D The menus and hotkey-ish menus are weird but I'm sure I'll get used to them eventually.

Also Xbox owners, if you install the game to your hard drive, it makes the textures in the game worse. :shameonyou: Bethesda are working on a patch though.

That warning came a little too late, haha, I was just hit by a giant and went flying 50 foot in the air like a ragdoll.

I have an Acer Aspire 5738g, http://www.newtechnology.co.in/acer-asp ... ricespecs/
Got it about 3 years ago. I have plans to buy and put together a "real" computer some day, but since I don't got a job or a real income, it's hard.

Ha. That's a bug I think. I almost killed a giant. I got it on the ground with my shout and set it on fire, but it got up and launched me in the air.

Climb a rock - or if you cannot climb it, hide behind it.

My level 2 mage took out a Mammoth that way = *ding* Level up.

I might invest in this game in the near future but as for now I'm happy blasting Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 12.
