The Bloodrayne games. They generally got bad reviews, but I enjoyed them.

+1 for System Shock 2, the first one ain't too bad either if your into retro DOS games.

The now defunct french company Silmarils. They made some interesting games with awesome potential that usually fell short due to awkward/bizzare interface or just lack of popularity

These include:

Metal Mutant
Storm Master
Transarctica
Robinson's Requiem

Killer7 and NieR seem to be two the were relatively unknown about and only have cult followings. Okami almost ended up the same way until it got a port to the Wii. While I didn't love Shadows of the Damned, it seemed some reviewers were a little harsh.

-Clubhouse (ds)
-Monopoly Party (gc)
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (gc) (I never played the dreamcast version, so the poor reviews annoyed me)

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is just a different version of Sonic Adventure 2 right? If so, I freaking loved Sonic Adventure 2.

Loads been mentioned already, like Nier, FF13, System Shock 2 (Bloody scary game when it came out all those years ago, still don't think they bettered the research system), Wonderboy, Killer7

And now for some others
-Baten Kaidos (GC)
-Skies of Arcadia (DC)
-Chaos (Spectrum)
-Def Jam Vendetta (GC)
-Die Hard Arcade (Arcade)
-Point Blank (Arcade, though it has to be a working cab)
-Colour Cross (DS)
-Bloodwych (Spectrum)
-Phantasy Star 3 (Gen)

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd say Dark Souls was well received, well among the journalists whose opinion I give a s**t for.
