definitely skyrim. a nice house in the snowy mountains or next to a lake with plenty of meat on the spit.

Just be careful of bears, they don't tend to be very friendly.

Probably learn a trade of Blacksmithing and archery, working with a small group of people I'd stick around in Skyrim for a bit like you and venture down into Elsweyr because I hate the cold.

I'm pretty happy with the responses this generated. Let's add on with an additional question: what rules would you follow? Would you be good, evil, or neutral?
What is your ultimate goal? Personally I would attempt to hoard magical artifacts and power, but try to maintain neutrality.

I would build a cabin somewhere in the woods south of Chorrol, Cyrodiil. If I had to live in Skyrim I would choose Riften, but Skyrim is way too cold and hostile for me.

I would probably go to Skyrim, scrounge around for the ridiculous amount of gold people seem to leave everywhere, save enough for a house in Whiterun or Markarth, then find a simple profession. No adventure for me, swords and fire launched at my face hurt. Might dabble a bit in magic.

For a goal and alignment, I think I like the idea at least attempt to have some sort of good influence from the shadows, even the thieves guild has its usefull traits such as sharing of wealth, and the dark brotherhood in killing bad people. I don't think I like the idea of being a thief or assassin myself, my morals are too high for that, I think some good could be done as a Neutral good by acting asa contact for chaotic good groups, I could even be able to sabotage less friendly groups.

It might be why I am interested in some a couple of the Daedric lords who cause good things to happen, even if the method requires a somewhat shady method. No fighting bandits for me.

What about adventuring with a party? Like a full party, so a warrior, healer and a rogue or wizard.

If, as Kael suggested, I had a party of adventurers composed of the the fine folks here on wrong planet, I would renounce my cowardice and adventure across the land. I would focus on conjuration magic, with a adequate knowledge of destruction and a small bit of restoration. Also, I would probably be some sort of neutral-good adventurer, leaning heavily on neutral.

I'd be a complete mage. I'd live at the Arcane University and spend most of my time doing research and learning new magic skills. I'd also be an avid alchemist and become an expert in the field. I would soon like to be employed by any Mages' Guild.

If I were to choose, I would like to live in Skyrim. I have always liked winter, and the cold suits me well. I would probably live in Whiterun and work the Skyforge with Eorlund. Smithing has always facinated me!
