Opps forgot to add Snatcher, Hideo Kojima's best IMO.

Tempted to buy a Mega CD, although I can see Snatcher getting some sort of visual update and made available on XBLA or PSN.

I'd just buy a mega cd or play an ISO. Snatcher is really great and you should play it ASAP. Sega CD version is hands down the best and I could see a psn version being based off the censored and inferior psx port.

Holy s**t I thought I was the only one who loved this game as a kid. We only had the shareware version but it was my favorite Doom clone ever along with Rise of The Triad.

Loved the music too:

Splinter Cell: I really enjoyed taking my time approaching scenes in the dark and form strategies to get past guards or obstacles.

Star Wars-Battlefront 2: Fast instead of slow but with different characters classes, vehicles, or gun turrets it had fun strategy potential. For example abandoning a vehicle in enemy territory but with a landmine attached to it. Then an enemy not seeing the mine would get in and explode.

The Grand Theft Auto series. First one I played was GTA III. Then Vice City, then 1 and 2, then San Andreas, then IV, then Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS, then Episodes from Liberty City.

The Sims series. My favourite one was the expansion pack for The Sims 2 that added seasons. I started with The Sims a few months before The Sims 2 was released. The Sims 3 is nice at times, but not as good.

The Age of Empires series. One of the first good games I played was the original Age of Empires. III was a bit less enjoyable, and my favourite was II.

I played NCAA Football 2002 on the PS2 almost religiously.

It was basically impossible to catch a pass in the game, so all I did was recruit running backs, offensive linemen, and defense. My last season I scored 779 points just by running the football (8-minute quarters) and gave up only 56 in 13 games. I ran for over 700 yards in one game, and averaged over 450 the entire season. I thoroughly enjoyed the game although my brother got bored with my gameplan every time he saw it.

When I was a kid I loved Spyro 2: Ripto's rage.

My favorite games lately though have been Super Smash bros. Melee/Brawl (shame I'd have to buy a crappy Nintendo system to play either), LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 (best platformer games ever), Mass Effect 2 was pretty sweet (3 looks even better), Command and Conquer series. I play a lot of other games but those I keep returning to it seems.

Honorable mentions: Dante's inferno, Assassin's Creed 2, Warp

PS3/PC gamer

Sid Meier's Civilization series. It's been my favourite since the first one, which I somehow got working on an XT8086 back in the early 90s (it was like putting something in the oven, about a half hour for the thing to load the game).

I think I'm finally getting bored of it, though.
