In case you missed it I was taking the Piss ,(no offense) my point was that franchise used to be a "core" one now it's been mangled, butchered and dumbed down for these non real gamers, the cracks where begining to appear in RE 4 (still a great game though) though not a proper RE game . When Crapcom stop using cryptic corporate speak for their franchise It may arouse my interest in the franchise again.

My point apart form Tomb Raider I can think of no other franchise that has fallen so much in it's true gamer-ness . A TR game that can be completed in 10 hours is not a proper TR game

(It should take that long to locate a cog and mount it  )

Nah I kept mostly to PC after the atari and sega. Although I owned a portable lynx too!

Sorry I thought you could get it on PC ?

I wonder if it's as hard as they make out , (I'm about to fiind out soon I suppose) we have become to soft in that regard :)

No.

There are no unique people. Whenever two or more people gather together to engage in their mutual interest, they become a 'crowd' -- that is, they are no longer unique (unless you believe that old "Three's a crowd" maxim).

Gaming is meant for anyone who enjoys gaming, whether or not they have any other interests or activities. Gaming is not a religion, so there can be no "TRUE Gamers". For that matter, it is difficult, if not impossible, to reach a consensus on what a "TRUE believer" in any religion should be.

Do you have difficulty coming to grips with the fact that there are people on your forums that can enjoy gaming in any interactive environment, including the environment of a loving and intimate relationship? If so, then maybe you would be better off staying away from gaming forums, because gaming has been around longer than you have, and most people, it seems, can handle gaming in both virtual and real worlds.

I agree with this. Not to sound harsh, but you're being kind of selfish by saying "Gaming is meant for people like me" and "Get off these forums". Anyone can enjoy gaming. It's like saying "You can't listen to heavy metal because it's meant for Emo people". Sorry if I sound like a complete b***h, but it's true.

Oh  yeah, since now it is less zombie and more mutated. Plus I might go to The Last of Us rather than Resi but we will see.

Is anyone else tired of the gamers who constantly scream out curse words every minute, or the type that gang up on u, talk about their sex lifes, argue about which console is best, or who tell u to grow a pair?!?!?!
I play games, and unfortuneately I miss the older systems that my baby sitter had. My family and I are poor, so most of the time we get systems and games that are like 5-6 years behind the current system. Example I finally got a Nintendo DS Lite, and a Wii(thats on the way), very cheap(going to fix them up as I usually do). I dont care about the whole multiplayer, apps(generally),and dont care(generally) what my "achievements are" in games..

I play games to have fun(and beat said game), if I wind up playing with someone, we MIGHT get along....

I don't have a problem with these people it's just they are the reason previously enjoyable franchises these days look as tasty as a load of steaming cow dung .
Thankfully we have Sega and Grasshopper to keep the bastards honest |

lately it seems it is becoming the norm for some types of games to be released in an early beta stage, legends of pegasus could have been brilliant, today its barely playable.

I believe that games should be held for a longer period of time before being released. Doing so would likely get rid of the bugs in games, and make people more happier and want to buy them more.

What you need to do is stay at the margin, and play obscure or under-appreciated games. Be like a hipster-if it's too mainstream, don't play it. Try Indie games, or the Stalker series. Nobody's making you buy Mario or CoD, you don't owe Nintendo or Blizzard or Sony anything.

Well the op is right how can Adrian in accounts his working for EA these days  with his 60hr+ week, 3 hr commutes, taking care of the 2.1 kids homework , than attending to the needs of his fat and whinny wife have the time or the patience for real games? so yes his to blame to, he used to be so cool these days his the = of the 60's Peace nick types who latter in life got on the Regan express and of cause due to lack of maintainece and cut backs it derailed crashed and burned, what a sell out man!

I think more than any time you need to shift through the merde to get to the truffle that pile at times seems like iit's the size of Belgium, as unbelievable as this may sound tasty morsels can even be found at McUBERslop 8O eg Far Cry 2* and Driver San Francisco are easily my top 10 probably even top 5 for this gen

*who thinks uber will botch Far Cry 3 ? So many complained about this game , but those criticisms I see as a postive restless natives aggressively attacking and chasing you is a bad thing now is it? I really enjoyed the challenge on the hardest setting , this ones a keeper almost unheard of in a FPS

A "true gamer" is anybody who likes video games. Period.

What is it with people and their habit of trying to fit everything in neat little groups with clearly defined characteristics?
