Anyone have a monster they prefer to fight?
A monster they hate to fight?

For me, I hate to fight trolls, as they keep regrowing limbs. Very annoying.

I hated fighting hybrid creatures, like the Zombires from Secret of Bone Hill (L1), although fighting a Napalm Dragon (Red-Black Crossbreed) was worth losing a character.

Napalm Dragon? How did that work?

Sorry if the question is annoying. One of my two special subjects is dragons.

It's breath weapon ignited on impact, doing 6d6 damage per combat round to anyone who was hit and failed their save. Those who were hit and made their save suffered only half damage during the first combat round, and no more damage from that attack thereafter. This is in addition to the usual claw-claw-bite attacks, buffeting from the wings, and that swinging tail.

We lost two-thirds of our party in the first attack; only the Paladin and the thief made it out alive (the thief had to be carried). The cleric, the magic-user, the ranger, and the multi-classed elf all bought the farm.

I told them we should have spread out...

Owie! :eye: May have to try a dragon cross. Got a guy who thinks he's invincible and really needs a good butt-kicking. He's that annoying.

I played 3.5 for a while. Unfortunately, my group weren't particularly interested in role playing and treated it more as a board game. I think some other people might have wanted to role play a little, but they were too embarrassed (and so was I). It was still great fun though, I wish people in my area were more interested in this kind of thing.

Anyone got a particulary interesting D&D story?
