It isn't exactly a FPS, but I would recommend Dishonored.

Yes, however they said they prefer shooters with story, and not focusing on the online component. Multiplayer is all TF2 is. I am not saying it is a bad game, I have certainly played it a lot, but it isn't the kind of game they were looking for.

Fair enough. In that case, I would suggest that everyone read the OP's post, because many of the other suggested games do not fit the OP's categories either.

Have you ever tried "Cthulhu Saves the World"? It is a really fun RPG game with the same humor you will find in Earthbound. I'm doing a Let's Play on it and I really enjoy it. The game only costs a couple buck too!
