I ended up acquiring a copy, despite my mixed impressions of the demo. I kind of got the impression that the game was meant primarily for children and Studio Ghibli fans, and I didn't think it would appeal to me, but I was wrong. It's also worth noting that I'm enjoying the battle system a lot more now that the ins and outs of it have been adequately explained. In the demo, I kind of just tried things, without fully understanding them, which is not surprising, given that the tutorial in the demo didn't go over a lot of it.
