I'd have to say my favorite series has to be the original Halo series, just because I played it when I was really young and I really love the games and the lore universe. I am a purist of sorts, though, so don't ever say anything like "Halo 4 is a meaningful addition to the series" or "Halo Legends" around me.

Now for some specific games I suppose I'll just write down a list off the top of my head like everyone seems to be doing:

PS: The game I've played in the last few years that I enjoyed the least, is, by far, Minecraft. I have my reasons.

i cant decide on a very favorite, but it comes down to 3 series.
1) Kingdom hearts
2) God of War
3) Metal Gear Solid
all other video games i play are just to pass the time until KH 3 comes out (Not sure if mgs5 is out already? but i heard its a free roaming game which has me worried...)

Out of those games, I would say the Sonic the Hedgehog series + Sonic Adventure/2/Battle.

That, in the same genre, the Donkey Kong Country series + 64.

Then, Super Mario World.

All of these are from my early childhood, very nostalgic, and I still play them.

I'll be back in a while with a more complete list of my favorite games ever.

The best computer game that I have ever played has to be Freespace II what an epic story, I really felt like it should be made into a movie. To this day I think of it as the best space sim ever made, and may be the best game ever made

.Sadly I would have to say that the game I have spent most time playing is probably the pokemon series, I am ashamed of it - because it is a game that requires little skill I played through X and Y without losing a single pokemon battle. But for some reason I feel as though I have to play it.

For games in general (I don't know if computer games count as video games.)

I love Borderlands 2, Dragon Age Origins, Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect 2, Counter-Strike, chrono trigger, Final Fantasy VII and VIII, Portal, Portal 2 Command and Conquer, Command and Conquer Red Alert & Aftermath, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge, Command and Conquer III (or Tiberium Wars) - that was my favorite game in the series. Rome: Total War, Sins of a Solar Empire, Freelancer.
