No other starter pokemon will ever surpass my attachment to Torchic and it's evolutions. It's just such a well rounded pokemon for doing the thing I enjoy the most: kicking serious amounts of ass! It does have a lot of type weakenesses and it's probably not as a good as Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert for use in Generation III games (there are very few good water types in Gen III that are easy to obtain and Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken's relatively low special attack stat really hurt it's ability to be a strong fire type before Gen IV), but that aside, it's versatility and power is incredible whether you're playing casually or competitively.

He's so cute, and I love his evolution.

I have a Snivy plush backpack that I carry with me everywhere.

Mine would be Fennekin because it's so cute! :D But my favorite out of all of the pokemon would be between Sylveon and Xerneas.

Probably would choose either Snivy or Fennekin. I almost didn't even evolve them, but I wanted to see what they'd turn into.

Least favorites would be the fire/fighting pokemon from D/P and B/W. I don't know.. I just didn't feel hyped for another fire/fighting starter two times in a row. Also, Chikorita... That final evo... Why'd it have to evolve into a phallic-looking thing like that. (Chikorita alone is okay, though)

My preference does not really exist. I am very indecisive and find decisions hard. I tend to choose the water type every time I play a game set in a region which helps me decide. I think that most of the starter pokemon are great and would really like to have all of them in one game and find it annoying that it is not possible without trading with other people. I do not like the newer pokemon, starter or non starter just because the designs just do not feel as good as the previous ones.
I am appreciative of all the starter pokemon though, because without them you would never be able to go on a journey in the games otherwise. Go starter pokemon!
