It's a game about Miis that interact with each other. It's very quirky and I love it a lot. I have tons of Miis in the game.

I only have one marriage so far. Between Luigi and Felicia Day, LOL. This game is crazy.

Most of the non-sensical bits are from dreams that your residents have, their actual day-to-day lives aren't quite as crazy.

It's basically like a Tomagotchi, but you're taking care of Miis instead of creatures. It's also slightly like Animal Crossing, since there are tons of different foods/rooms/clothing/etc. to collect. I haven't played The Sims, so I don't know how it compares to that.

Sometimes your residents will ask for gifts of certain types of clothes, or foods, or whatever, and it will raise their happiness level an extra amount. They also have two foods that they really love, and two foods that they really hate, but you have no idea until you feed it to them.

You can watch them interact with each other. Sometimes they visit each other, and share gifts you've given them (like if you give them a Wii U, everyone will come over to play), sometimes they go on dates, or just go to attractions by themselves. They can have best friends and sweethearts (which you have little control over, I think it might be horoscope based), and get married, have kids, I'm sure you knew that part. When the children grow up (which only takes about three Real Time days), you can either let them have their own apartment, or you can have them travel to different islands via StreetPass.

I think most of the fun comes from populating your island with Miis of your Real Life friends, and either watching them do ridiculous things they would never do, or catching them in a moment where it's like the game actually knows them...which can be a little spooky sometimes.

There's a free demo on the eShop if you really want to see what it's about.

Ah. Definitely not my sort then. Sounds like it requires patience, which I have none of, and I've never really seen the appeal of the Miis. Though to be fair, I usually dont touch Nintendo products to begin with. That I have a 3DS now is a result of carrying too much money around at a convention combined with an utter and total lack of impulse control.

At least I know what it is now, so I'll understand friends if they should start talking at me about it, even if my only responses are something like "bah" or "go away".

Not at all. For the most part, your Miis take care of themselves. On average, I play it about 30 minutes a day, and unlike Animal Crossing, I don't feel like I'm missing much if I skip a day.

So I look at my earlier posts in this topic, and....

Well, it keeps happening alot lately where I'll say "You know, I really should stop saying things like that bit I said about this awhile back, because I end up with the damn game anyway and it's better than I thought".

It is indeed correct that it really requires no patience at all. Pop in and out at any time, I like that.

So I did end up getting into it, when friends of mine did indeed start yammering about it, and one of them offered me a copy of it so I could join in.

Well, I aint gonna refuse free stuff, so....

.....and yeah, it is pretty good. Bloody strange, but good.

Also helps that some of the relationships can be made very strange indeed depending on just who the Miis are.

I got alot of the Miis from one of those sites where people come up with tons of them and upload them onto there, where they can be grabbed via QR codes, and chose kinda randomly, and well.... one marriage that happened was between Duke Nukem, and Ursula, the villain from The Little Mermaid. Naturally, this was hilarious. More hilarious was the offspring. Man, that game can make some very odd looking kids. This one was normal in every way.... except that, inexplicably, his eyeballs were coming out of his nose, like he sneezed way, way, WAY too hard. I just.... I dont.... what. Stranger babies came later from other couples.

I just got this game and I am addicted to it. I have my kids in there, myself, my nephew, (he got married in it), some Miis I imported from Mii plaza and I added in the celebrities from the website and now I have our president, Walt Disney, and fictional characters like Dr. House, Bones, Amy Rose, Sonic, Jack Sparrow, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter, ghost face from Scream, iCarly, Natalya Simonova, and Zelda.

So far there has only been one marriage, one break up, and the irony thing is Bones keeps getting into fights with her friends but have always made up. Natalya Simonova isn't getting much of my attention because she never needs my attention. She is always in her apartment or off doing her thing on the island or visiting her neighbors. I plan to add more islanders soon.

I tried to create a music group called Spice Islanders and it said it was inappropriate. WTF? Where is the bad language? I also tried to change it to Spice Ladies and still got told it was inappropriate. I wonder what bad language the game keeps thinking I am saying.

I have only had one visitor and four imported items.

If you want some famous people or characters on your island, just go to youtube for QR codes or google them. That is how I got mine.

I bought this game on Monday. Really addictive and a lot of cute but weird, quirky stuff. Like today one of my female Miis was upset because she got in a fight with my male Miis. After I calmed her down I made her go apologize to the the other Mii. This has happened a lot but the characters always made up. But this time it was different, the male Mii wouldn't accept the female Mii's apology and she became very sad and I had to work really hard to cheer her up. She had a thought bubble with the other Mii's face in it and when I clicked on it it showed what they had been fighting about. They were in a tug-of-war over a teddy bear and arguing over who owned it and who was hurting it. It was kind of funny, especially since the Miis were maybe at least 18 years old because they were grown-ups.

The male Mii later did come to apologize, though, and everything worked out. In fact, they are now sweethearts.

Two of my Mii couples got married today. The freaky thing is that one of the couples were kids. But I used this spray stuff to make them adults. I wonder how long before they have a baby together?

One thing that bugs me right now is that the Miis don't give out nearly enough hair dye as gifts, which I really want. It's usually cold medicine or something else I have a ton of already.

I was wondering if that would work...were they Miis that you made? Or were they babies that your Miis had that ended up getting married later? Because I know that can happen.

I was thinking it would be interesting to make an island with just two people, and then just have all of the babies stay on the island and overpopulate it...I mean, obviously I'm sure it won't let the children marry their siblings, but you can see where I'm going with this...
