I like Risk, Monoply, battleship, checkers, and Apples to Apples. Plus, I really love to play card games, like Rum, War, and others.

I love a good board gaming session.
I used to get involved in all night Risk marathons and still enjoy a good session around a board game.
I own and love the following...

Attack [and expansion]
Java
Carcassonne [and expansions]
Clans
Helas
Napoleon in Europe
Civilisation
Memoir '44

...and loads of others, which means I guess that they should be added to my obsessions list, lol.

As I have gotten older my old gaming circle has disolved and I don't get to play them so much now...

A fairly incomplete list of the games I've played.

Warhammer Quest
Blood Bowl
Twilight Imperium
Diplomacy
Settlers of Catan
Puerto Rico
Blockus
Robo Rally (this one is just silliness...)

RedHanrahan, I played Attack a couple of times... I really like it's combat system. It's pretty quick but has a fair amount of strategy in building a balanced force...

@Pugly
I agree about Attack, I like that it can sort of be understood at an early age but kind of open ended as to what level people operate at, the timing of playing an Eagle, or timing what resource spend on what, when to strike, what order to play your turn in... it's fun...
I have the two person card version of Settlers of Catan, my flatmate and I play it, it is well developed, if you enjoy the multiple player hex tile original then you might enjoy Tikal, or more importantly Java.
Java is a very clever game for 2-4, again a very open ended game, can be played on many levels, a good fun game for an older family too.
Speaking of silliness - have you played Zombies? I have seen it but been a little skeptical so I would be interested in an opinion.

I like that board game a lot.

I also like Hero's Quest, an RPG-like board game fashioned after D&D, but with an actual board and figurines. Unfortunately it's been out of production for several years now. I have several expansion packs as well. I spent hours painting the figurines in the right colors to make them look more realistic.

I like Scrabble a lot.
Kinda into chess.
I collect Monopolies. I think I have about twenty.
Love Settlers of Catan.
The Uncanny X-Men: X-Men Alert game is absolutely fantastic.

How's that work? Sephiroth's a proper noun.

Warhammer Quest is sort of a newer version of Hero's Quest...

Unfortunately it is also out of print.

All of the Games Workshop games I enjoy are out of print...

It's ok. A little small and abstract,
for my taste.

The less games are based on reality, the better for me. I live to form abstractions...

@Pugly-
Do you prefer European games then?
There are some cool small games like Clans, Hellas, Java, and of course classics like Go, is that what you mean?

Oh yes. I had some great times playing Risk through the night in college. I remember one time it was around 4 AM and my friend was trying to finish me off. I only had like 3 territories left and had 20 remaining units on one. He attacked me with like 50 of his units, but I kept getting lucky roles. Eventually it came down to 3 vs 2 and I rolled two sixes. He got really pissed and I just laughed. Risk is a fun game, but I'll admit that the dumb luck facter can be annoying.
