Sort of but I was thinking bigger (sort of like TP wolf Link) but dark midnight blue (darkness colors) perhaps obviously half dark/??? type (dual typing dark and (something else) and have it howling at the moon for the Pokemon Moon cover.

I was thinking "Ho-oh" "Rise from the ashes" into the sun type phoenix type bird for Pokemon Sun

Tiger for Sun could work. Wish we would have got more concrete info at least starters and legendary covers it will surely hit Black Friday weekend so end Nov. for those big U.S. sales. Yet we hear NOTHING. Waiting until E3 June and have the BIGGEST Nintendo E3 EVER NX + Zelda + Pokemon WOW!

I hope there will be a Final Fantasy information event at E3 this year.

Apparently according to analysis it looks like the new region may be based on Singapore, this is from the hotel in the video looked like a real one in Singapore.

The wireframe of a bird Pokémon in the trailer also appears to be based on a woodpecker, a type of bird found in Singapore.

I hope that the new starters will fit a theme similar to X and Y did in having them fit the fantasy roles of warrior, mage, and rogue.

Off topic but yes COME ON SQUARE FF15 THIS YEAR FOR U.S. That and Pokemon my first half of 2017 is SET! LOL!

I like the fitting fantasy roles too. I liked Fenekin evolution line and Cheapen evolution line they looked more unique vs. ninja frog developed from a smaller frog (froakie IMO seemed unoriginal).

Singapore makes since and that bird could be the "pidgey" early bird pokemon of the gen with a bad ass looking final evolution.

Wish we would have seen more than concept art though.

Not even gonna mention how long I spent salivating over the possibilities.

Obviously I would love to see another turtle starter. We’ve already had Squirtle and Turtwig, so why not a fire turtle? I know we have Torkoal, but it’s not a starter. So I’m suggesting a starter called Firtle. It will be a fire turtle. I see it start as a hatchling with its head and a flipper outside of the egg, but not fully hatched yet. Its final evolution could be a giant sea turtle, kinda like a world turtle like Atuin (Discworld).
Maybe it could evolve into a Fire/Fairy type.

There hasn’t been a single fish starter yet, so another idea I have is a Water starter that starts out as a fish, then becomes amphibious, and finally ends up as a Water/Dragon lizard with a huge sail like fin kinda like a Dimetrodon.
A water type lizard would also be nice without the evolution mirroring that of life, seeing as we’ve already seen starter lizards that were Fire or Grass.

I would love for there to be a Bug starter, but unlike most Bug Pokémon, it’d have to be strong so it was equal to the other starters.

I would love for there to be dog starter, preferably one that wasn’t Fire (unlike 2 of the other dogs that can be caught). Grass maybe?

I’d also love to finally see a wolf Pokémon. One possibility was for it to be somewhat similar to Poochyena at first, then evolve to look like an Arctic fox, and then finally become a red or grey wolf.

I’d also like two flying types, one that looked like a paper aeroplane, another that looked like a model aeroplane. One should evolve into a bi-plane, the other into a small propeller plane, and finally something similar to Concorde and a fighter plane. Or there could be ways to have one such Flying type evolve differently based on stones or friendship or time of day.

I also have a Grass type idea where you have a dino type that starts as a Brontosaurus (yeah, I know that term isn't used anymore), then make an evolution as radical as turning it into a Stegosaurus, and finally a Triceratops. Or maybe start as Ankylosaurus? I'd like more dinos too.

I also don't mind Pokemon looking like objects, like Klefki and Trubbish. Ooh, a wolf legendary howling at the moon would be absolutely awesome!

Hmm...Well, the fire starter could be based on a Nekomatta/Bakeneko [ghost cat], and get progressively more see-through as it evolves. The water starter could be a nymph combined with a water dragon [becoming more and more androgynous as it evolves]. The grass starter could be like a dryad.

I just realized that Serperior is an epic pun. It's literally a snake in the grass!

I am afraid that using such inspiration for a starter might backfire, after all the mascot of Youkai Watch that has been making a name as a rival to Pokémon, Jibanyan, is a Nekomatta and Pokémon will not want to look like it is trying top copy it by making one of the new mascots so similar.

My personal hopes for the game also include that the games will bring back and focus all Pokémon that may evolve with Moon stone or Sun Stone, which makes me want Clefairy and the like to be more important. I would like Fairy types to have a continued presence. For some reason that makes me think just looking at alternate types I would like it to be something such as one starter also being Fairy, one Poison, and maybe the last ghost.

I like your ideas, Skitty; an increasingly transparent Pokemon sounds really intriguing! Such a Pokemon could actually be part of the plot itself...
Yeah, it would be nice if the Sun and Moon Stones were important parts of the new games. Especially since those stones are only so much used in most of the games. Hmm... that's interesting. I've been thinking about whether or not they should keep having the starters be Water, Fire and Grass, or if they should let other types be starters for once. What do the rest of you think about that?

Maybe there could be some sort of rare Mega Sun and Moon Stones out there to evolve the legendaries?

It would be neat if the starters could be Psychic, Fairy, and Dragon. What do you suppose they would be like? The Dragon one would be obvious, but maybe it could be a different type of dragon [like a winged snake-like dragon]. The Fairy one could be like Flabebe, but even more...um...fairy-like. The Psychic could be...hmm...any ideas, guys?

When I said typing I did intend to mean it like last gen where it where the starters gained second typing Fighting, Psychic and Dark, which created a good added weakness each other had against the one they were weak to. I think that I just want more of a focus on Fairy and Poison since Fairy is new, and Poison is one of the most neglected in terms of a part of having an advantage on another type.

^ Oh sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant their primary type. I too would def like to see Poison get a more important part in the games, and it should now that it's one of two types Fairy is weak to.

Hopefully there won't be so many bird Pokemon this time round.
