I'd suggest you play Pokemon Black and White since it is the only Pokemon game with nothing but brand new generation Pokemon until the end of the game's story campaign (after that you can catch some of the Pokemon from the previous generations

LOL I read that right when you posted it, funny
I'll check it out, I don't have a DS but I might can buy one, the wii is ridiculously cheap so I can't picture the DS being much. Plus I got some money from my parents a few days ago for my birthday so if I can get the whole thing for around $80ish than I might go for it.
