I came up with names for all of Calem's Pokemon... Totally not weird, right?

Gumball (Meowstic)
Tidus (Vaporeon)
Candy (Clefable)
Ali (Altaria)
Chester (Chesnaught)
Gabe (Absol)

^Of course it's not weird! Nothing you do is weird, honestly!

I always nickname my legendary Pokémon after mythological and religious characters:
-Kronos (Dialga)
-Oceanus (Palkia)
-Tartarus (Giratina Altered Form)
-Chaos (Giratina Origin Form)
-Persephone (Xerneas)
-Hades (Yveltal)

^Well, you're certainly a gamer after my own heart. I sometimes nickname my Pokemon with complex names made of puns that only I would get [I named my Reshiram 'Izanami', for instance].

^Well, I have always done that, even going through high school.

Anyway, If I get either Sun and Moon versions, I'll nickname Solgaleo either Apollo or Helios, and Lunala either Artemis or Selene.

^I'll probably get Moon, so I might nickname Lunala 'Tsukiko'.
I would name Solgaleo 'Amaterasu'.

Selene is her name, actually...

These are the names for my Pokemon X team: (yes I actually have these Pokemon)

Anna (Sylveon)
Sparkler (Jolteon)
Randy (Vaporeon)
Sora (Pidgeot)
Hatsune (Xerneas)
Riku (Lucario)

I find it ironic that both me and Cal had Vaporeon by coincdence, I didn't even have internet at the time.

^Selene is the name of an ancient Roman goddess of the moon.

She was named after the roman moon goddess, then. The boy's name is Elio.

Elio likely comes from Helio, the old Roman god of the sun and Selene's sister [I think] in the old myths.

I thought both Helios and Selene were Greek and Roman, and aren't they both Titan gods?

I dunno, I must've read too much Percy Jackson books.

^In the older myths, they were from before the Titans, and may have been Nyx's children [the goddess of night and primal darkness] but I might be mistaken [the myths themselves often got scrambled in details].

Can you actually believe that both Solgaleo and Lunala are the first two Legendary Pokémon that have been involved in evolution? I just read that in Bulbapedia, there is a Pokémon called Cosmog that can evolve into another Pokémon called Cosmoem, which then can evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala, depending on what type of versions of the game you are playing.

I'm thinking about nicknaming Zoroark 'MajorLooke', which is a parady of the phrase 'Made you look!' because of their special ability Illusion.

^That's brilliant. I once contemplated naming my Zoroark 'Low-Key', but then I eventually decided on Scatty [from Scathach, a warrior woman from Irish myth whose name means 'shadowy'.]
