1. I hate l33t speek. 'FTW'? Puh-leese.

2. I preferred Unknown anyway. Simple, catchy. Two syllables.

Don't be offended, OK? I can't think like 'ar-tee-ess gamer for-teh-win'. My mind likes acronyms, but not a mixture of acronyms and a word. :(

Since I primarily like historical sims,
story is really kinda given. Replay is
essential though. If the game has a
trivial strategy, it just sucks.

The more RPG style games, I again
find myself driven toward replay. The
storyline can be fantastic, but if you can't
face it again, what's the point?

Indeed, the game which has held me
the most in this style currently has essentially
NO storyline - something mods fix.

My friends really got into that game... they actually bought it and it hasn't even been released yet.

I was going by the votes, which clearly show that nobody voted for Difficulty.

I own it. Picked it up a year and a half
ago. It was better than anything out
at that time. I think Beowulf is aiming
at the same ideas though. Amazing how
quickly a real company can turn on a
good idea.

How is "FTW" L33T? its a ABBREVIATION of "For The Win"

What is wrong with "for victory"? "For the win" doesn't make grammatical sense. Of course, neither does anything to do with Zero Wing, but FTW has little to do with it.

But it's fine. We'll let it rest.

It's a joke... it doesn't have to make perfect sense. Actually the joke is that it doesn't make perfect sense...

Putting it in an username... is kind of strange.

But if he's a really good rts gamer... then it fits.

I'll play any game that is just fun to pick up and play. Story comes second most of the time.

Good storyline, lots of replay value, great gameplay, then the rest comes second.

What I like best in a game is the possibility of free roaming. I like games that don't follow a tight script, but where you get to stroll around and complete quests or missions whenever you feel like it.

Take for example The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That game has awe-inspiring graphics and a great story-line, which are also important in my view, but the best thing is that you can wander around of your own free will, and choose whether or not you want to complete a quest, and the order in which you complete them.

I also like the Grand Theft Auto series for the same reason. But I like Oblivion better, because I think the graphics and the story-line are more absorbing.

Saints Row is a lot like that, except there's more customization.
