I've been playing Pokemon since there were only 151. Overall I've not been very impressed with the newer games, but I really like Legends: Arceus. It's a free-roam game where you interact with Pokemon outside of battle, and can actively chase after or run away from wild Pokemon. You forage for ingredients to make items like Pokeballs and potions, and you have to actually fill in Pokedex entries by completing a list of tasks involving each Pokemon (battling a certain number, seeing them use a move a certain number of times, etc.). Getting 100% is both grueling and tedious, but I love making and checking off lists, so it's perfect for me.
