who? i thought smash brothers was supposed to have big names.

People I want to be in Brawl:
Geno(Every day I hope the smashbros page will show him in it. It never does. )
Earthworm Jim(C'mon man...It's a worm in a suit. That's just bad-ass.)

So as you can see, my hopes and dreams are kind of screwed.

i could go with earthworm jim and megaman. geno.....i dunno about that. a one-off square character?

i think crash bandicoot needs to be in the game. just so psone is represented. i'd love to see simon belmont in on the fight.

man....simon and megaman would be killer additions.

Yeah, it might work. The court room stage would be soo cool.

Most Nintendio games kept the same charm over the years. Sonic however lost its touched because Sega was doing something Atari did in the past. Make games with good graphics, bad storylines and hardly any gameplay. Referring to most of these games being created in a week. Sonic will now be the new Jigglypuff.

Good storylines in a plattform game that takes place in a caricature world doesn't sell. Good stories weren't expected in the golden age (NES/SNES era) of those games either, because of the simplicity of the games. Most of the Mario games doesn't have a particularly good story either. In my honest opinion, the Sonic games aren't the only plattform game series that got worse over time.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was the first Sonic game I got and it wasn't particularly bad. Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog, however, were rubbish, although the worst game ever made is Minority Report on the Gamecube.

Then I doubt you've played Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

No. That must be really rubbish then.

get a sega and get sonic 3(or download both). that's what sonic is all about....not the nonsense that he's become today...moving sonic to 3d was a HORRIBLE idea.

Big Rigs is so bad it goes a whole lap and becomes good again!


I'm no expert on Sonic, but he actually seems pretty decent in SSB:B.

It's a shame they didn't show all of Sonic's Special moves as I really want to know the last one now. Spin Dash, Spin Charge and Spring Jump is OK but there should also be a standard special move and I'd like to know what it is.

While we're talking about Brawl, which characters do you think will be unlockable and which do you think will be standard.

I think there will be 15 starting characters.

Mario
Bowser
Yoshi
Peach
Wario
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Pit
Kirby
Meta Knight
Fox
Samus
Link
Zelda
Pikachu

The rest will be unlockable (after all, you'd have to earn the right to have Sonic and Snake in your rosters, so that they can play special cut-scenes when you do. Also, the Pokémon Trainer is way too strong to be a non-unlockable character).

That seems like a pretty good staring roster, except for a few things:
A: I get the feeling that you have to do something with Kirby and Donkey Kong to unlock Meta Knight and Diddy Kong, respectively, such as complete the Subspace Emissary with them or something like that.
B: You forgot Ness. Again, chances are something Ness does will unlock Lucas.
C: I'm not so sure about Wario. I don't think anything Mario does will unlock him, but he seems like he's unlockable somehow.
D: You also forgot the Ice Climbers.
E: And Snake.

So yeah, I believe that virtually all the new characters will have to be unlocked, just so that playing as them will be so much sweeter.

Ness hasn't been announced yet and it's likely that Pit will be there from the beginning.

Also, Snake is a third party character, so it is very likely that he will be unlockable.

I think Lucas is the replacement of Ness. It doesn't seem likely they would put two very similar characters in the same game...assuming it's not like Melee in that respect.
