oh, good comparison.

Cloud can own Sephiroth with a series of rapid fire slashes with the Omnislash attack.

Link can own Ganon with one really good jab to the forehead.

link would loose because theres no obvious flashing red weak point on cloud.

whelp, the only way to solve this is to convince square to get a working relationship going with nintendo again and get cloud in the next smash bros game!

awe cloud is loosing but i still voted for him.

i want cloud to win mainly because not a single zelda game has gotten a bad rap that i have seen, but final fantasy carries both the weight of rejection and the height of praise.

cloud to me deserves it besides knights of the round with sneak attack is probably the deadliest materia combanation, but i also love to abuse summons.

and omnislash takes no mp to use.

also i'm not going with the ff7 battle system, if they fought i'd have it crisis core style.

link has almost no good swords or equips [i've only played octrana of time\whatever it's called] bottles do not last forever and cloud could have 99 elixers in stock along with last attack with pheonix or life 2, so for me there is no contest.

if magic wasn't allowed then hyper\phoenix down\x-potion and nearly any limit break would win.
