excuse me??

uh lessee, ET, Total Recall, Bad Boys, Bebe's Kids, Jumper, Ghost Rider, Ghostbusters, White Men Can't Jump, Back to the Future, Independence Day, Superman Returns, DaVinci Code, The Matrix, Home Alones 1 AND 2, Wayne's World, Friday the 13th, Wizard of Oz...i could go on forever

btw, which is worse, a bad game based off a bad movie, or a bad game based off a GOOD movie?

Ghostbusters for the Megadrive was pretty good actually. And I liked the Matrix games. And the Godfather game. And the Warriors. There's been a few good movies turned video games made (they're easily in the minority though).

I think a bad game made from a good movie is worse, at least with a bad movie adaption you have some idea what to expect.

Another example of good movies turned good video games are some of the Star Wars movies and games. My favorite Star Wars games are the ones from the Battlefront series.

I've never played any of the movie video games mentioned on this forum though.

i think the best movie from a game would be a god of war movie but they would have to have a pretty good cast to pull it off and btw star wars games dont suck because lucas arts has its own department for making game and time and time again they delivered mostly good games... witch reminds me of force unleasd, im soo syced about that game to bad it was pushed back to september

yea Lucas learned the lesson Spielberg never really did (ET, Jaws, etc)

...though Spielberg went on to be the much better director

...hmmmm...

That's exactly what I was trying to say. Although when I made my post I wasn't thinking about Lucas Arts' own video game department at the time.

I think the poster was trying to say that when an original video game is turned into a movie, it sucks. All your examples are the other way around.

For anyone who doesn't agree that "game -> movie" genre sucks, I have three words for you: Super Mario Movie... I rest my case.

I have 2 words for you: Republic Commando...
Also, LucasArts is notorious for not letting developers have enough time to finish games. I point now to Kotor2, and rest this case as well...
