Star Fox was awesome. I only played the original on SNES, and I really liked it. The soundtrack was equally amazing. I especially liked the music from 'space armada' it was incredible. I'm glad someone made a Star Fox thread.

"Chief?"

"........(Fox) MCCLOUD!!"

Lol 10 e-points for anyone who gets that reference.

Anyways, I played a bit of the original at someone's house once, her older brother had this on snes. It was cool, but I had the most fun playing (and laughing at) Starfox 64. We didn't own a nintendo 64 but my sister dated some guy that did and he would bring it over, hook it up and we beat the game once. Can't say I ever tried the sequels. The ps2 Ace Combat games actually come pretty close to Starfox's style of gameplay for me.

The age of this thread is irrelevant. I’m just happy that someone made the thread about Star Fox. It had to be made at some point. Past, present, it does not matter. It’s a good game to remember. Bringing it to the forefront is fine with me.

It's not irrelevant to me since I posted in this thread 4 years ago. It just seemed a little weird how Curiotical casually replied to someones post from 2008 pretending like they wrote it recently. :?

Well he's right about "Starfox Adventures" being very underrated.

I've been a Star Fox fan ever since we rented the original one for SNES back in the '90s. The graphics weren't cutting edge but the soundtrack sure did rule! The N64 version was cool as was the DS version. The Gamecube rendition was weird when Fox was on foot running around.

It's awesome to see that others appreciate the soundtrack of the first Star Fox. It was an excellent soundtrack.

Got the N64 for goldeneye and this, always wanted to play shadows of the empire, only watched my cousin beat it.

COCKY LITTLE FREAK!

I like how they actually spoke english in this one. Falco seemed like less of an ass in this one, cuz he actually spoke and used different voice intonations instead of just shouting BLUB BLUB BLUB. I hated him in the original. Peppy became R. Lee Ermy, and Slippy became a woman, I think. Or they just gave him a really high pitched voice.

"Take care of the guy behind me, Fox!!"
"All range mode!"
"Annoying bird! I am the great Leon!"

Nothing got my blood pumping more than flying through all the hardest levels, blasting bad guys out of the sky and racking up all of the medals.

I've recently been playing StarFox Assault and while it doesn't top Adventures, I love the soundtrack and I find the concept of missions very soothing.
