eeyes! the Wii needs more titles like this! it shows what you can do with a mature rated game when you have some quirky art direction and controls behind it.
speaking of other favorites, i absolutely loved Mario Galaxy. especially following Mario Sunshine. Mario Sunshine wasn't a BAD game, it just wasn't a GREAT game, which is what you usually expect from a Mario game. it had the weird distinction of starting strong but becoming LESS good the further you got. Wind Waker kind of suffered from a similar problem.
Mario Galaxy however was so deliriously fun i couldn't believe it. the first hour playing when i was launching Mario across space i was like OMG THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!! ! that game was all i thought about in the weeks after i got it.
